another shot of vac stuff, for reference and discussion. @maat ,do yours 12ht vac setup look like this?
according to my dash voltmeter, the glow screen does it's job.
but there's no glow in the dash glow light, and bulb is fine... will look into it.

did help a fella out... he had a leak in all four tires. ARB compressor did well ;)
First taxi in north of Norway! (and my dirty 61)
Can you see what's missing in the rear, besides that ducktaped gap in the lower hatch?

Also had a nice visit from one of my cruiser fellas, he came to give the powertracx autolocker from the burnt axle. It went in his front, and it has not fallen apart yet.... ;)

That compressor probably has more hp than that old car!

LH drive 74? Diesel? Wish list, very cool.

@Tapage how's your ip hooked up? This would probably be a feature used on the 12ht or 2h with auto tranny....

my AC compensator when I had it was in my throttle body .. kinda different from what you see in any 12H-T

P.S. missing rear hatch wiper and you have a hole in your bumper .. 12H-T used to have rear light in the bumper.. but in yours I only see hone in one side ?

I see...

And yes, never been a wiper in rear door, so ill mod one in with a washer on the blade.
And missing light. Trying to find something suitable, maybe two smaller that i can angle out.

Will do another rear bumper when i got cash for Daves, or mod the old burnt one...

Its a LH bj70 with 3b and gik turbo kit ;)
Are BJ70's common there? Looks in good shape. In Canada they were black or tan. Never saw any other colour.

Do you do winter trips there with your 61, or is it not likely? I'd love to do a trip north in the winter there.

Hahah, Maat! Looking forward to it!

Changed the primer pump the other day, as the old was leaking.
This bosch unit has better feel to it, and no "lock" threads but it is a nice swap.
swapped it twice on the old 60, and third time i went with a bosch, witch lasted.

While down there i had a look at the returnsprings for the ip, and some vac stuff i've been wondering about.

Can someone chime in on the look of theese springs? to me they dont seem original...
And i have some sympthoms of a kangaroo throttle feel at times. I can compe with it in pretty harsh terrain, but i wanna get this sorted so my better half can drive a bit less jerky and with more confident.
Also looking into putting a dampener on it.

Applied vacuum to the idle up vac clock you can see above, but im not sure if the oil temp vac switch is working as it should. Also this applies to the a/c fitted engines, and some has an pressure switch activating it when powersteering. cool!
you can see that oil temp vac switch on the left in the image.

At another angle, you can see this solenoid/actuator looking thing.
It pushes against the fuel cut off lever...but has no wire running to it, or obvious connection. WTF?
There's an working butterfly vac shutoff on the inlet manifold, so i dont know why it's there.

Those return springs are certainly NOT stock. I can send you pictures of mine if youd like. Mine are shorter, and each has a rubber sleeve to protect it from mud and things that might bind it up.

My question to YOU, is what does that second atatchment point do? On my 12HT, the throttle connects to one point on the throttle assembly, but there is a second point where SOMETHING is supposed to go. I cant figure out what that does. Do you know what is supposed to go there? And if so, is it critical? Do I REALLY need it? Because as of now I have no way to atatch it, and I modified my assembly and there is no longer a second atatchment point. Thoughts?

on the throttle arm, the second attachment point is for an automatic. There's a lever that goes to the transmission kickdown cable.

Thanks so much! I swapped the engine out of an auto HJ, into my manual FJ60. So I assume I wont need it for anything?
Thanks again!

Not very common, the bj is less common than 60series, but LJ70 and 73's are plenty of. Both with the 2.4 diesel, and 2lt with turbo.
Had both of them, and the lj 73 with coils is a nifty rig ;-)

Oh,yes I'm doing lots of winter driving, it's a fun winter activity.
Have a look in my old thread, there's some shots of snow crawling and breaking trails.

@reevesci Its sorta nobrand rtt, we did a group buy of 17 tents last year in the Norwegian cruiser club, so straigt from sewardess in gongbao or something.
We got to customize and choose details and quality ourselves, and it turned out pretty well. Seems to me they are almost identical to some aussie models, and the cvt line.
I guess it's the same manufacturer.
There's a few things I'd like to mod,and some minor things i wish we considered earlier.
The zippers haven't failed, but they are not ykk. Rollup on window covers and mesh are 'bung trough hole' style, my girl will make them velcro.

True that.
Do you have any intel on the solenoid thingy against fuel cut off lever?
