Matt is correct. The flanges need to be swapped. I bet the way it sits, you can not rotate the front output …… hopefully the dust shield is still good. You’ll want to install new stake nuts as well.

It’s done and I think it’s right.
To say that I’m proud is an understatement.

Should I fill it to see if the seals are fine or just replace them both?Matt is correct. The flanges need to be swapped. I bet the way it sits, you can not rotate the front output …… hopefully the dust shield is still good. You’ll want to install new stake nuts as well.
I put a dab of the thread sealant on all the bolts I marked with the paint pen. I’ll hit it with red loctite to be sure. There is no reason for that bolt to ever come out.Did you loctite the bolt holding the tab for the idler shaft? If not do so because losing that bolt and having the idler shaft slip out will be bad.
I'd install the hi-lo shift fork arm while the t-case is out of the truck. It will be easier now than once the t-case is installed plus that will eliminate the possibility of having the internal shifter drop into the t-case.
Gotta say, they really are some fine industrial design in stock trim ...
