Is Dan still out of town? I have been waiting for a response to some pms since last friday, need head gasket parts and wanted to buy from him. Does anyone know?

I ordered some parts on Weds., he is way behind from vacation and he is in Boise for some Toyota training/meeting? One of the other guys can help, but I can't remember which one.

I'm changing out my starter contacts this weekend.

Any of them can help. ask for the ih8mud discount. I know some folks talk to Tony

This is not true. The other guys have no clue. Everytime I ask for LC parts they are like "Is this part of the whole ih8mud board stuff?" "Oh you need to talk to Dan". DOH!!! Dan is not there!!! So frustrating.....

I don't have this problem with the guys. But then, I walk in. :grinpimp:

So lucky...That would be ideal.

Those guys deal with "normal" clients and I deal with the high-maintenence "Cruiser clients".

It is not at all the same game. Land Cruisers a a pain in the neck and for some strange reason I enjoy the pain while the vast majority of the parts people out there hate them for very good reason.

My guys know them better tham most dealers do and I know them inside-out. That is the result of being around Cruisers for 28 years and enjoying the association. That is not normal..............:grinpimp::flipoff2:

I've had very good parts experiences with Antonio and Tom. Both seem to know what you are talking about.

I would expect that, considering Dan signs your paycheck.

Well he signs it and then he takes it right back and gives me a plastic bag, an invoice and says "hit the bins" where I proceed to fill up a bag with 80 series parts and go home and lay them out and take pictures of them.....

I just now found out what you all apparently have known for years...Dan's the best! Spent 20 minutes on the phone with my local Toyota parts guy to find a replacement for a frozen e-brake cable. (He's still not sure) Spent two with Dan and the part is on it's way. Thanks man, I'm convinced...but then I'm also easy:D

Dan...just left a message as you are out of the office today. I'm looking for the cable that goes from the rear passenger door handle to the latch on a 1998 100 Series. You can get me at 780.886.1330 or at greg@pretzlaff.com.

Thanks.

Greg

Speaking of which... if you have a second or two check the 60's forum for crankshaft pulley question... I started the thread earlier today.

Beep... I will be out of the office on Monday, February 11th but will return on Tuesday for your regular scheduled inanity...

got a problem I would like you to view the pics I posted before we start talking parts.

thanx for the bolt deal.

I am still trying to determine if any portion of the nut could still be holding the pulley on the shaft... does not appear to be and I am thinking if some portion is broken off and is obviously still inside the pulley if there is nothing in front of it then the pulley should pull off.

Have removed the shroud and the fan and all belts. Since the two front pulleys have separated from the A/C pulley and have slid forward an inch or more on the crankshaft will it be possible to use the pulley puller to yank it off the additional distance to get it off the shaft. If the nut was still there in place and holding it on, would not that have held the pulleys in their original position back snugged up with the engine?
