5125. and yes lifted

bump.. I need the above info in question too. my local parts shop that sells them says the longest extended length in the 5125 is 18 inches. that seems a lot shorter than what we need up front with the OME 2.5 inch lift

Im also interested in more info on running these new Bilsteins with stud mount and OMEs for my 62....

Fwiw I ended up measuring and calling bilstein...they are very helpful. I got a part number for the shocks in the right length but with generic truck valving.

I like them, but the valving is not perfect. For around $250 I was told bilstein will custom valve them for you

Sorry to bump an old thread, but hopefully the couple guys above will reply/this will help others.

I found these, and they appear to be close to the OME spec for extended and collapsed lengths, with a upper stud/lower eyelet mount.

Looks like these should be the ones that would work based on what information I can find.

Can anyone confirm these are the route to go up front? Looking to order some new shocks for my 2.5" OME lifted 60.

Bumping this thread to see if anyone has any updates. Iv'e been reading this type of stuff all day long.

Hey! Verified the ones I posted above work. I have them on my truck now. You just have to install the larger shock bushings on the bottom. Top bolts right up.

Also found the Bilstein bushings work in the back. No need to put bigger bushings in the rear shocks. So just order a pair, not 6 like I did. Lol

Did you have to open up the hole for the stud? Seems like it needs to be opened to 9/16"

What shocks are you using on the rear?

for my fj62 I had to get the larger bushings to get them on. I made them fit at first but that was a struggle getting the smaller bushing over the post. the new ones are from day star and slide right on. I think the 60 and 62 top rear mounts were different diameters but some one here smarter than me could probably clarify that

For the rear I used the ones mentioned in this thread. And didn't need to change the bushings. I have a 60 though. Maybe 62 has larger posts out back.

Up front I didn't have to enlarge anything. Just put bigger bushings in for the posts and the top bolted right up.

Good news, thanks for replying to such an old thread. I'm going to work on this now that I've got confirmed working part numbers for these items.

I have an 86 and didn't need the larger bushings. But either way, if you're not sure, order bushings. They're only a few bucks.

Glad to help. I tried to get some responses on this thread and got nothing so I just decided to go for it and fortunately it worked out. Haha

I bet driving impressions on road are amazing compared to anything else.

Have you been off road, if so....was it a good experience?

@1985zcar What was the matching shocks for the one you posted from Summit? I also need a set of these, glad you chimed in.

Bump! Another lazy bloke here would like the part numbers to get the matching bilstiens with the OME Springs!

The last post covers what I used. The shocks have been great on and off road. I’ve put on 35,000 miles with this lift combo.
