Update: Engine cranks over and Glows. Having issues with the EDIC on the 2H with some teething issues. I'm also going to upgrade the glow plugs and rail system for a better connection.

Looking forward to see this engine sitting at idle with the new turbo set up.

Bypassed it on the start up. Just not getting the right Glow/Fuel time right.

Front bumper tacked into place ready for Toyotafest16. This is run by a group of Toyota enthusiasts bringing all shapes and sizes of Toyota together.

Hooked the 55 up to the trailer and peeled out. Thought we should give the old girl a bit of a spruce up. Not sure the carwash attendants was all too please.

A great day at Toyotafest19. Towed my HJ55V out with the 80 series. Third time the old girl has been on the trailer behind the Multi Valve 1HDFT Motor.

Had a hand unloading with Dom's PTO Winch.

A great view for the day being the only two Landcruisers there. Few beers in the sun and some good chats with other keen enthusiasts.

Styling of the bar and Fairlead tonight. Tell you what, never let a blind man paint, never let a bloke like me design things. Like tennis, a whole lot of back and forth.

Made some small progress today. Sourced a working Tyre Carrier. With this I'll be able to work out my Exhaust and space for the rear sliders.

Got some time to fit the spare wheel carrier and the 285x75xR15. Wheel only just fits between the shackle bolts.

Check out the original hand winch used to raise and lower it!

After a few discussions with my Engineer and a lust for something creative, I am now pointing towards a Tubbed Ute conversion.

The build was always ment to be a personal build and with already having one wagon, I think having two would annoy me.

Hoping to source an FJ55 Wind up rear window as the wall at the back.

This will require a roll cage at the B Pillars and removal of the rear seats.

Please enjoy my rubbish MS Paint photoshop edits for your enjoyment.

I agreed...until I turned my phone sideways and realized you are in Australia and barn doors aren’t so rare.
