Thanks.

Carb Installed with new OEM hoses. Fired right up. My fuel level in the bowl is a little low so I may have to take the top off and adjust it. But it runs so nice!

It looks a little funny being the only clean thing on the engine.

Snapped pics of my progress last night.

The Crash damage I removed all this was caved in about 4 inches and the door didn't shut. Now it does.

Rear bumper removed. It wasn't stock so it had to go.

And my hardest job to date repairing the right rear crash damage.

Know how I know the PO had a boat? It wasn't the hitch that told me.

Yep. Turned a little to far with the boat a couple times and left those nice matching dents above the brake lights. I know because I have a matching set from my boat on my Jeep Grand Cherokee.

do you have the no. 98135, 1976 emission control FSM. i've got two copies if you want one.

i'll trade you for some upstate cruiser stickers.

These are some pics of my 55 which is to be the donar for my 45LV project which has a build thread in that section. I know you guys will want some of this stuff after I have gutted the pig for its drive train. It will be a little while, but I may start selling off some of the stuff to help fund my 45 project. This hobby is expensive. ;)

Are you gonna be using the body, or just the frame and drive train?

I'm looking to start an 80/55 project and I'm looking for a cleanish 55 from the frame up.

Sounds like people would love to take this one off your hands - you need to start a seperate thread...

Alright. Finally got the video of the first crank with the new rebuilt carb on. Not bad with my homemade exhaust.

Way to go. I am impressed, you even have video. We just tore our carb apart for the fj40 and put it back together, but have not started it yet. still waiting for fan blades and radiator. but i have to say after looking at all those parts, it was pretty scary. was you tube easy to do?

awesome!, inspiring................darn, no to get back to my rust bucket of missing parts and try to figure out what needs to be done first>>>>>>>>>>with 4 kiddies helping?<LOL> specially the 21 month old!

Kind of bored today. Finishing up the brakes and fuel so I will start on the body soon. Looking at paint codes. What do ya'll think of the pumpkin FJ40 color?

i'm a huge fan of the blue/white and seafoam/white, but that just me, ha ha

so go with pumpkin/white. that way when i get my 55 in 11 years or however long it'll be, i can paint it blue/white and we won't get ours mixed up, ha ha
