Where can you find a FSM at a decent price? I saw some at SOR but I'm not sure if the price is good relative to others.

They're expensive. Send a PM to Beno and ask if Toyota has yours, but I think SOR may be it other than used.

I agree with Kroil, but I use PB Blaster. You can't spray those too early or too often.

I bought individual taps as I needed them and I have about 5 or 6. Freshly tapped holes are awesome.

For the electrical side, get a digital multi meter and a good automatic wire stripping tool... Not sure how to describe it but it IS NOT the one where you are yanking on wires to strip them.

On the second car I bought when I was young, my oldest brother took one look at it and gave me a roll of Duct tape..."You'll need this" So I always have some of that on hand...you just never know

Ziplock bags both sandwich and snack size . But that is only relative to the job your doing.

Front hub socket and Snap ring pliers to go with it.

First tool, don't know. Your computer and Craigslist, best source for a bulk buy on a lot of the "first tools" you'll need.

Considering the size of the oil drain plug, I didn't expect to need such large metric sockets. I just went to Trader's Village in Dallas to pick some up. What size is that monster anyway? I hope I got one that will fit. I picked up a bunch of different sizes 18mm and up. Used the 23mm to pull the tow bar off.

Oil change is next if I got the right size.

The answer is 24mm and I have one!

Best shop tool: compressor (followed by impact wrench & sockets). It's not that I lay awake nights pining for it before I got one, but I couldn't believe how much easier so many things got once I had it.

Close second: hydraulic floor jack.

Let's start with this, every tool I have needed for my entire build

Metric sockets, 6 point, deep and regular
4 inch half inch drive
18-20" swivel 1/2" drive breaker bar. ( one of the best tools
4 inch extension
Torque wrench
Screwdriver drive set.
For many old screws, it's Better to use a 1/4 socket and a screwdriver it that is exactly the right size so you do not risk stripping anything.

Large anvil vise.
Drill
Metal bit set
Grinder 4"
Various sanding, grinding and wire wheel disks.
Circular saw
W/Metal blades
Welder
Electric sander

For brakes,
Banjo wrench
Hub socket "rented"
Speed bleeder
A Friend

Hammer and 2 pound sledge.
Compressor
Power washer
multiple jacks including a high lift jack.
Tall jack stands
