Sand blasted parts can easily get flash rust, but I've not seen it that fast - were you touching them with your bare hands, or was it very damp perhaps??

Some people are more salty than others. One of the guys I worked with at the gun store would leave rusted fingerprints in blued firearms with oil coating overnight if it wasn't wiped down after he handled it with bare hands.

No, I wear gloves. It's all over the part... I guess I treat it with ospho. And then wash it with mineral spirits and sand it a bit with scotch bright... Well kinda disappointed after I had that nice finish of the blaster
but I guess you can't have it all. Chicks are relaxing next to their new home. Finally done soon. Daily omelettes here I come!

Hello again,
So Ospho is not a good idea an big surfaces with a lot of texture :/ sanding this is not a nice feeling as it's still aggressive and the only gloves which are chemical resistant have bad grip feeling for the sanding cloth... So I do not recommend doing it this way. Sandblasting and then directly coating is definitely the way to go as everybody said already
Another big let down is the metal paint Brantho Korrux. It immediately scratches and at the slightest bumping against it cracks or gets a nick... I decided to Sandblast the parts I painted with it again. Knuckle head etc. I wanted it to be durable. That's why I went with Zinc dust Epoxy Primer. I feel like that's a good decision after seeing the first results.
I decided to go Polyurethane on these Parts as top coat. The big parts of the frame are Powdered and I will get them tomorrow! Looking so forward to that.
And the tub of teseven from France looks absolutely amazing. He sent me images of the manufacturing process. I asked if I can share them here. Waiting on his reply. I think these will be by far the best aftermarket steel tubs out there. The level of detail...
I'll keep some more pics coming

Parts parts parts, they are here!
Ive decided on the tires and got the split rims in. I went with a slightly bigger diameter since i get a 2" lift and i think the spacing shouldn't be too big. It actually was quite a task because in Switzerland the tire and the rim must be tested from a specific agency. So it must be a match or else you need to contact that agency to do these test for you specifically, which is quite expensive. And when you increase the tire size by more than 8 percent you need this as well. A lot of bureaucracy...
Did a lot of spray painting. Ive bought this spray booth but im not sure it was a good buy. After a few minutes its unbearable to be in there. Even though it has a ventilation the concentration gets so high it bypasses the filters i wear and it gets intense. So i think i will use it outside and open the rear door. I guess its better than directly outside.
Next up i will get the third members blasted and paint these ones too and then i will get help to rivet the frame together. Afterwards i can get her on her feet. My plan is riveting und some of the assembly till end of august.
And yeah who would have thought. I cam across another project. Had to buy it. As we will be moving in it for some time. Lets see how much it does interfere but it already does heavily with space

Have you tried an air-fed mask in the spray booth?

But i cant wrap my head around the shipping price... I mean this is almost the same amount i paid for a winch and the front bar... I cant pay 203 dollars for this. So could someone send this to me and i pay them the seals. I think regular mail would be way cheaper... Really hoping someone can help me out here.

Friday the frame gets riveted. So I'm in preparation. Very much looking forward to get the wheels on. Big milestone I think.
Does someone just of the bat know if the bump stop is also riveted?
