i started a thread on this but everyone said the OEM is as good as it gets.

I tried to send you a pm, but your box is full. My distributor vacuum advance is non functioning on my new trollhole distributor. Can i get the diaphram locally, or can you send me one? Or, will i need to get a replacement carb? Thanks!

I just installed my new trollhole carb and it fired up instantly after sitting for weeks. Also pulled ton of vacuum and purred like a kitten! I am very excited to get both of these parts functioning together.

marshall, did you get your shipment in? any idea when you will mail them out to us? please also confirm with me that i am on the list, as i paid almost 3 months ago. thanks.

Yes they are in and I'm scrambling to get them out. PM me your name and I'll make sure you are good.

Pretty sure I have you I'm assuming your initials are KS

Okay I have a major problem. They shipped me the wrong distributor. I now have 50 of the small cap dizzy. There is nothing wrong with them but it's not what I ordered. I'll contact everyone this weekend and give you a few options. I'm sorry for the problems.

Yikes. Don't really want the small cap model. Now what?

Here is what I'm going to do. I'm going to ship everyone who ordered a big cap dizzy a small cap dizzy. Then when I get the correct ones in i'll ship those to you as well. You can keep the small cap.

Will that work for everyone?

The small cap will work just fine in place of the larger cap.

I'm sorry for all the trouble this has caused.

Wow that is really going above and beyond. Kudos. Hope supplier is eating the loss, not you!

In fact, I don't want you to lose any money on my account. I am running a stock dizzy and can wait for the big cap model, if this is out of your pocket. Crap happens.

For me it's not always about the money but keeping my reputation and being able to sleep at night knowing I've done everything I could to make the customer happy. Let's just say it's not for you it's for me. I'm weird that way.

marshall thank you so much. this is way way way above and beyond.

now how does the octane dial work? Thanks!!

THANKS! and diff betwen small/large dizzy?

WOW, that is definitely going above and beyond-thank you Marshall!

OK, I have to ask--other than the size (obviously) what is the difference between the small & large units?

Don't mess with the octane selector. All it does is change the timing. And with our kinds of gas it's just not important these days. You can look at it but don't touch.

As far a functionality the two are the same. Same mechanical advance. Same guts.

Like jawjatek said, if this is $ out of your pocket, I also have a working stock dizzy, and would be glad to either send the small cap one back, or just use the small cap one-I mean really, if they both work the same, then who cares if it's got a big or small cap?

If the supplier sent the wrong ones and is writing off their mistake, then I guess I could use the large cap one for a spare, I'd be glad to pay for shipping, just let me know what is best for you.

Thanks,
Faron

Hello Marshall, are you there?

I finally looked at my Distributor I got a couple months ago and after reading above I have discovered I too have a spring loaded rotor. Marshall do you have any rotors that are not spring loaded? If not what rotor can I get to replace it? I do not want extra parts that can fail on the trail either. I would gladly send you back the spring loaded on if I can find a standard rotor that will work.
