Are you now able to replace a severely cracked emblem with a 3D printed version or have you figured out a method of removing deep cracks from OEM emblem’s? Have you come up with a solution/replacement for the 3 tabbed emblem trim rings that are so delicate?
I have a way to repair the original oem emblem and I can repair the tabs now also.

Whoa! That is NLS:cool: If you ever take before and after photo’s I’d love to see the difference. I’d love to have a horn button with no spider cracks.

I’ll do a before and after on my next one so you can see the difference.

Finally pulled another steering wheel to send you. Got a little extra room in the box...if you need anything other than horn parts.

Horn parts are my biggest need, anrthing that that is steering wheel related. If you want to send the one that went bad, send it also and I’ll take care of it. Do you have any jacks for sale?

Do you have horns for a 72’? Also if you ever need any small parts painted, I’ll take care of you.

One of the most challenging steering wheels

Don’t think your wheel is trashed, I can restore them no matter what shape they’re in. Better to spend up to 500 and have yours restored, instead of buying a restored one for $1000.00 +. I know we’re not all independently wealthy, so I try to keep my prices reasonable. Here is the response from my last customer, who’s wheel had large cracks on all sections.

I’m finding it difficult to put into words how amazed and appreciative I am for the restoration you did on my wheel and horn button. Suffice to say I am thrilled and in awe that you could bring a wheel that badly damaged back to “car show” condition. I’m sure I’ll think of you often as I cruise around in my LC with my hands wrapped around that fine looking and feeling wheel! And satin IS the way to go!!! Thanks Jimmy

I vouch for Jim as well—he restored my steering and got my horn internals working great—excellent work!!!!!

Thanks, I appreciate it!

I will also restore steering wheels for trades or services, I treat everyone’s wheels like it is going to go in my FJ. Thanks for the kind comments, I’m a retired/disabled firefighter and this keeps me busy and I’m not trying to get rich off this. If someone needs a wheel done and can’t afdord the average $400.00, I will try and work something out with them.

Jimmy,

I just pulled the steering wheel off my '67. This is my 1st land cruiser, and the current horn set up isn't clear to me. Should I be able to enable the horn from the steering wheel? I ask because there's an aux button on the dash that currently enables the horm.

Asking because 1. I'd like the steering wheel restored and 2. If the horn should be enabled from the wheel, is that something you can restore as well?

Thanks
Charles

I would have to see how it is set up, I don’t think it would be a problem. If you can send pics to bird251@prodigy.net
