Different gear ratios were used in different markets, but if the ratio is the same, the differential is generally interchangeable With some minor differences by year and type of axle.
 
I thought there something about ff specific thirds that didnt permit use in sf housings as a result of not accepting the c clips.


Front axles are full floating and can switch those to the back with no problem. Difference on the semi floating axle the shaft for the spider gears requires the block to keep the inner axles pushed into the grooves on the side gears to hold the C clips in place. Floating doesn't need the block on the front or rear axle. C clips are not used on full. Floating axles groove in the side gears are fine without them.

I was referring to the oe lsd ff rears...thought there was something about the carrier.
