Howdy folks! We are getting frighteningly close to releasing the rear bumper and have decided it's time to release the data for our swingarms so other folks can start planning how they want to design components that will attach.
We will have these available at launch:
Attached below are DRAFT drawings with the appropriate data. When they become FINAL they will be available as a PDF download from the bumper page on our site.
If you have any questions, ask away. But let's keep conversation on topic (this data, how it can be used, any deficiencies, interpretations/understanding, etc), k guys?
No, we will not be posting 3D models of anything. If there is a dimension you need that isn't on one of these drawings, please send an email with marked up drawing showing the data you are requesting to info@deltavs.com. I will get back to you quickly.
Yes, the distance between holes is "wonky". This is because the distance between holes is driven by the 6" height differential and the 60* angle. This is a very easy layout to deal with in CAD, so it drives everything moreso than an "every 2 inches" kind of layout. This supports CNC cutting more than blunt object cutting.
Edited to add this photo so it's clear what the drawings are for. This is the mounting surface for all of our attachments and components. The drawings should provide all the details so anybody can make their own attachments.
Edit: we have spent a lot of time to get this design finalized and will be using these arms across all of our bumpers (80, 100, 4Runner, Tacoma, etc) so if you spend the time to make an accessory you really like or has value, there will be plenty of people who will want it.
We will have these available at launch:
- tire carrier (short and tall)
- ladder (with Hi-Lift bolt pattern)
- ladder cover
- upper extension bracket
- NATO can holders
- vertical Rotopax mounts
- angled Rotopax mounts
- Hi-Lift mount (stand-alone)
- inside stash/gear pocket
- center extension (to fit tire carrier and Hi-Lift mount on one arm)
- kitchenette/tool box
- Powertank adapter/mount
- couple other things in the works
