Sometime around Christmas of 2011, I got in on a group buy for a BIOR rear bumper.

And then not much happened with the truck in 2012. Bought and sold a house, had another baby, not much time for wheelin' that year.

Was able to get in on the first set of MetalTech rear links (upper and lower). Fabulous units, uber strong and precise handing. Truly transformed the feel of the rear of the truck. Solid rather than vague.

I read your posts all the time but was just thinking to myself that I had never seen any pics of your rig. Glad you started a build thread and awesome rig.

I'd love to if it wasn't Thursday nights. I have a group run with the same guys for years on that night.

No worries. Just keep an eye on the events thread on our forum. We would love to have you join us sometime.

You read my mind. My sentiments too. Nice build and I must say I appreciate how polite you are to everyone including noobs here on the forum. :)

Sent from my iPhone. Clumsy fingers may contribute to mistakes.

A few 2014 updates...

Subscribed. Saved the pic of your son washing the hundy. I'm hoping my daughter does the same someday.

Do the new links transmit more vibration than the stock bushings

Not at all. Probably one of the better mods that I made!

Milestone. Bought in Aug 2010 with 77k, less than 6k per year, although it's never been a DD so the vast majority of those miles have been 'rural'.

Oregon, is that an LED light in the rear cargo? If so, which one?

Man o man that panel looks great - nice job!
please tell me that Air horn is the train sound.

The air horn will be 'Dixie'. Delightfully tacky, yet unrefined. ;)

Need more pics and install info on this!

Haven't ran the rear feed yet. My thought was to go with some rear floods using the rear diffuser mounts, but I still need to sort that out a bit.

Duh. Thx!

Ok, thanks for the heads up. I'm anxious to re-wire some items to the rear area from my second battery and I'm anxious to go overboard on the rear cargo light.

Man, I have a million projects for this spring. Lockers/gears are a high priority. As are (most likely) a custom built rack, and drawers. With the drawers I'll probably add a small switch panel in the rear for cargo lights. My thinking is that for exterior rear flood lights I would want to operate those from the cab for backing up in the dark. Whereas cargo lights I'd most likely want to operate with the cargo door open.

And I already have a fuse panel setup back there. Would only need to add the switch(s) and relay(s) for whatever I desire. This panel is off of a dedicated hotel battery so no worries of cargo lights stranding the truck. Link: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/starting-off-on-the-right-battery-literally.812502/
