I would like opinions on my 2 latest purchases. #1 Bought a 95 fzj from original owner 2 months ago, 175K miles, all stock, lockers, $4000, already added a 3" level stance lift and 295's btw, i'm hooked on these things. This one will get beat up. So, then my wife wanted one...

#2 Purchased today, 96 LX450, orig owners, garaged, 82k miles, lockers (they didnt know), dark green, interior flawless w/mats front to back from day one, all maint records since purchase from kearny mesa Lexus, only a ding on the hood and two on the rear bumper. No rust, dry underneath (unlike my 95). Paid $9500, they were firm since they had 10 emails in 1 hour. Here's the ad link if they havent deleted it.

Also, wanted to add, this website is great, most questions I've had are answered with a quick search. Time to sell the 4runner, my driveway is full.

I think you did pretty good on both. Low milage ones are becoming hard to find. Get some new pics of both of them up!

I think we need a 12-step program. Welcome to the addiction.

Buying the :princess: her own rig was the right path. Mine refuses to drive the Cruiser other than in a pinch, which I guess is OK.

Good buys on both rigs; his and hers, locked and lo-miles, how can you go wrong?

d**n you and your sub 100k mile find.
i've been looking for a 96/97 LC for a month
now and can't find anything under 100k in my area.

Very nice <100K find.

I located a '95 LC in Chicago with 98K for $6,800 before I bought my '93 but it sold too fast locally for me to make it up there and snag it. Original owners (doctor and lawyer) with all receipts and records. Oh well. ;)

Enjoy your new purchases!

Amatuer;) Patience grasshopper - Good ones are out there, you need to be patient then jump immediately on the right one. I missed two by minutes, looked at countless others. I finally started going to look at these with cash on hand to make a deal if I found it. Unless you are extremely lucky, you will be looking for longer than a month.

IMO, you scored! It took me 3 months looking everyday on CL and autotrader to find one with lockers, decent mileage, and good condition, for the right price and I had to drive to northern Cali to get it (almost 500 miles). Keep your eyes on the SoCal80s section here on the board and PM me if you want to get out and wheel sometime. Welcome! :flipoff2:

Seem like great deals to me. I keep trying to get my wife to like 80's as much as me but she thinks they are too big:confused: so she's leaning towards a 4runner.

Why do you need 2 Land Cruisers for?

If you're referring to the later model 4Runners with optional V-8's, I say let her have one. My brother's wife drives an '07 with the 4.7-liter. Very smooth engine and it will haul the mail (and their boat)! Headroom is sparse if you're tall (I'm 6'-5", brother is 6'-3") but other than that I think they're great. They bought one without a sunroof to squeeze as much headroom as they could out of it.

My wife also thinks they're too big, which is why we also have a 4runner.

Oh yeah, nice finds!

Agreed. Maybe we can have coins/tokens for each step? :)

FWIW, my wife hates all the cruisers I've had too. She's got her comfy S to keep her happy.
