It's big and my engine bay is crowded with the dual batteries. Get the Pacbrake one and I'll trade you for mine :)

Always fishing for a deal aren't you :D! I can't over crowd the bay too much, I need to leave some space for my eventual dual battery set up once I get the annoying oil leaks taken care of.

this is what steroids will do to a land cruiser.

on my way back home I started feeling a bad shudder, at first I thought it was bad fuel. When I finally got it home this is what I saw. I've never had a vehicle break a metal fuel line before, glad it got me home at least.

so now both cars are up shiites creek. It never ends with these rigs does it?

What is zip tied to that line?

Ah hell. That might not be cheap.

I've given up on anything being cheap on this rig. I'm just glad diesel doesn't ignite easily, I would have gone up in flames on the highway.

Wow, that's the first time I've seen that. Bummer on the pressure line breaking. It's certainly not a common break.

My uncommon break was one of the pulley's on the front that chunked out the upper radiator hose. Didn't even realize it let go but luckily I pulled over before things got too hot from coolant loss.

it was the perfect end to a perfect day :bang:. I'm just glad I was about 15 miles from my house and that diesel doesn't just ignite since I had just refilled it.
yes i drove it home that way. I just thought it was bad fuel until I got to the red light, by then I was close to home.

I guess I'm due for an update. Had an expensive week getting Big Red back to functional. I had a buddy redo the oil pan gasket, build me a bracket for the remote oil filter, install the governor springs with a new fuel line and while he was at it, he changed out both clutch cylinders and the oil in my transmission. It started with, "hey can you build me a second battery tray real fast" and it snow balled into all the other things. Didn't get the second battery tray done though, that will be a project for later I guess.

It's not letting me load up the pictures for some reason so I'll post them up at a later time. :crybaby:

I guess when you complain things finally start working. Here's a picture with the broken fuel line removed.

Here is one with the new one installed.

This is the kit that the new springs came in

I must add that Big Red is now a real beast. I was impressed with the way he performed before, but the 4000 RPM springs really bring him to life.

this is where the governor spring goes, I actually thought we'd have to take the fuel pump apart to get to them.

This is a better picture. You need to turn the crank shaft to get it to line up just right so you can pull the old ones out and put the new ones in.

Might want to get some 90 degrees fittings for the oil filter head. The hoses look like they are just barely long enough.

Sent from my SPH-L720

Yea I was thinking about that yesterday. I'm just tired of spending money right now. I also have to zip tie the hoses to prevent them from touching the turbo or exhaust

So how's the on-road performance now? EGTs?

I have to drive it longer to give you an accurate description. I drove it around the area in the freezing weather when it was really raining So I couldn't speed. Off the line it's much faster. I'll post up some details this evening.
