Sorry, meant did you have to remove it to take the console off or could you just snap the console loose without removing it.

Yes, I did the remove the back of the console. I've had it off several times recently since I installed my ham radio body where the CD changer was located and looking for the harness connector for the fan switch in the dash to use as a switch for my compressor.

Edit: @geanes sorry, just realized I misunderstood your question. No, I didn't remove the actual cupholder tray. I could never get it to pull free. I just removed the two screws using a small screwdriver that are just inside the cupholder tray.

I paused most of the projects for our LC or LX. I am using all my printers to print facemask holder/tensioner now. These are donated to local medical workers.

My wife is a nurse in the emergency room. Thank you for doing this. They are getting by with donated PPE made from household items.
Are they using the facemask with earloops? This kind of facemask don’t have a good seal. If they need the tensioner, PM the shipping address. I will print and send for free.

This batch was put in mail. You should have it in two days. Thank your wife for everything.

The material can be sterilized with boiling water after each use.

Will do. Thank you for your support. The ER here in Jacksonville is just beginning to get the wave. The nurses/docs will be grateful. Will be placing my regular order for a scan gauge mount soon.

Ben, will they stand up to temps around 121-125C for a half hour with one ATM pressure (super heated steam)? I ask because it would be better if they can autoclave the pieces for sterilization. 100C (boiling water) isn't considered sterile.
The material is printed at 240C. I think 125C is OK. You can test on one of them.

Make 2 V2: RAM Ball Mount for the Lower Right Center Console Panel

2. Introduction

This make is to mount a RAM Diamond Ball Base.

3. Design and Fabrication

The design is revised from M2V1 to address the request on mounting a RAM ball on the blank panel. M2V1 is printed with resin since there is almost no stress on the part. But for mounting a phone, stiffness and toughness need to be considered. @suprarx7nut has the capability to print in carbon fiber nylon plus strategically placed continuous fiberglass. I did the design and prototyping. suprax7nut will do the production. The following figure shows the part with reinforcement fibers.

In anticipation I have already purchased my ram ball.

Almost there. I and @suprarx7nut have finalized the design. It will be ready for purchase soon. Should be in a week.

Final design printed and on its way to you for final approval once I make my next postal run. I'm pumped. These look great!

Am I mental if I want to remove AHC just to have the RAM Ball mount?

Oh! Thanks... I was looking for rear radio controls.

Ah I misunderstood then. You mean control the Tesla unit (or some function of it) from the rear seat area?
