Fixed door locks today. With old aftermarket keys I got with truck never locked doors. So, I took locks apart, cleaned and lubed. I observed due to worn key it was not functioning properly. Today I had dealer cut me a new key from key code. Now I able to lock and unlock door locks with new Toyota keys.

I’ve had some issues lately with door locks and it appears the key is very worn. Just yesterday I asked myself if the dealer could still cut keys for an old 1993 model. I’m glad I ran across your post on this.

Started steering gear box upgrade and rebuild. I am using 105 sector shaft, and pitman arm. New OEM gaskets as well. Pitman arm and input shaft took some time to get it out. Taking plunger bolt out was some work. I had drill a hole and use bolt extractor. That method failed. Last resort was chisel and my favorite hammer. More work later today.

This looks like my tailgate. I covered mine as well with sheet of plastic but there is a serious indent in the center where it looks like it has been crushed. I've been thinking of trying to "pop out" this area. If I get a tailgate storage system it might be easier to pry this out. This seems to be an area that could also be strengthened once you cut it open. Thoughts?

Theres two braces for support running the width, not length, of the tailgate. I had to remove about a foot of each when i installed a hurucane tailgate storage lid. Added bracing would be a good idea or make sure the lid you use ends up being strong and that’ll be very similar to additional bracing.

Fitted 4 row aluminum radiator. When I ordered it I didn’t realize radiator was for manual transmission. Rerouted lines as there are no connection to radiator. Fan shroud was adapted as well.

Icon stabilizer was limiting turn due to its length when I swapped drag link. Icon was mounted using pair u bolts wrapped around drag link in old setup. New drag link is using factory type mounting from Tre to bracket. this distance in my case was 21.25”. This tough dog setup seems to have sufficient travel for drag link movement. So far it’s good for around the block test drive.
