ACdelco 215-153 vapor canister installed. Only used top strap, enlarged the strap holes and run a M8 long bolt. Don’t over tighten strap.

Added a gear indicator on 80. It’s sold by zero gravity performance. I opted for an OBD2 connector for ease of plugging.

Rebuilt transfer case by Valley hybrids. Swapped high range 10% under drive with stock high range gears. Diffs were 4.56 ratio. I also opted for part time kit and AVM HD selectable hubs. I am getting rear driveshaft rebuilt by driveline service in West Sacramento. Driveshaft double cardan joint had some play which was causing some vibration and noise.

Awesome truck and build sheet! Can you share additional pics of the exhaust routing?

I ordered a brand new HF2A case with trail gear low range gears and part time goodies. Also, had to extend drive shaft by 4”.

Installed a JRE dipstick on 6L80E.

Swapped leaking FSR radiator with CSF brass Metal radiator and fabricated a fan shroud to fit 16” Spal fan.

Steering upgrades includes hellfire knuckles, GM one ton rod ends, and reconfigured track bar brackets and shorter bar. Track bar mounting is tight. I reamed knuckle plates from bottom to mount TRE and draglink from under. This method solves interference for up travel.

I don't understand the spring on the steering stabilizer. Would it make it harder to turn one way and easier the other way?

Spring/shock is installed in neutral position when steering is straight. It helps aid return to center both on and off road.

Revised steering links to 7/8” hiem joints, 3/4” grade 8 fasteners and double shear reinforcement.

Working on my steering now also. Do you have a pic from the front at ride height by chance?

Some pictures from our Rubicon trip last week. Great trip and lot of memories stored.

Man, the 80 series looks right at home there. Any notable issues?
My front driveshaft rubs with the passenger side cat. I need to dent the cat to clear the driveshaft at full stuff. I also ripped the welds of the front sway bar bracket at the driver-side axle housing. I repaired it when I returned home. It's all good now.

My swing out spindle snapped as it was a cheap version when I initially installed it. I removed 4x4 labs rear bumper and went with Trail Tailor DIY rear bumper kit, dual swing arms with beefy spindles and custom rear cross member.

Modified 4x4 labs front bumper with a provision to flat tow behind motorhome. I will wire tail lights, add brake control and charging battery while in tow.
