what's the horn output like ?

what's the horn output like ?

It's decent for under $15. About as loud as you get for a plug & play. I think some of the mini air horns are louder but they are in the $50 range. Big improvement over the factory horn.

Busy weekend for me - Along with the light installed yesterday I installed a CB with a cheap PA speaker.

I haven't seen anyone put a CB in the door yet, and it seems like a good location for as little as I'll use it. I used the existing wiring grommet/hole locations. Used a 3/4" bit to put a hole in the door panel. This hole is completely concealed by the door pocket. I cut the factory grommet to allow for the new wiring, and will use sealant to seal it all back again after a few days of field testing.

Final product. I found a wire clip to help keep the mic cable in check and used two sided tape to hold the CB in place.

Mounted the antenna to the rear bumper. I'm a little concerned about the strenth of this application as it's all plastic on the bumper corner. At some point I'll get a real bumper but for now this should work. Put the PA speaker under the front end - sorry no pics on that.

you may want to place a tennis ball over the antenna to prevent it from hitting the body, because it is going to dance around a bit at higher speeds

and if you decide to get a flexible hinge, get the heavy duty - the medium one really, really dances around - BTDT

Thanks. Now that you mention it- I forgot that I did order the spring- and it it is the heavy duty. Time to check the mail...!

Woooo...antenna mounted to back bumper cap has wayyyyyyy too much movement.....especially after mounting the heavy duty spring. Time to find a new location..,

Got the lift on! 2.5" OME heavy from Slee Off Road. Their instructions were spot on. Took me about 5 hours, not including the steering stabilizer. That thing was a pain to get off. Took heat and a lot of swearing! I installed it myself, with a little help from the wife on a couple of areas. Here are some before and after shots. Before shots have center caps. After shots do not. Tires get here tomorrow!

I like your roof rack. Can you share some info on it? The mounts etc...

Sure - It's on this build page, one page back. .120 wall 1x3 steel cut 52" long. Brackets are Smittybuilt, purchased on Amazon. $200 for 8 as I recall. This is my attempt at the lowest profile roof rack possible. The steel is very rigid and sits about 1/4" above my roof at the tightest point. I should have end caps this week to clean up the look a bit.

After my tires get intalled (315's) tomorrow, I figure I'll clear my garage door by about 2". Tight squeeze! I may raise it up a bit if clearance allows. I'm happy with it.

what kind of sliders are those and are they heavy? I'm liking the rig! Got any pic's of the 315's yet?

Never mind on the sliders, saw you posted it on page 3. Thanks, but still want to see the new 315's on that thing! :)
