Did this cool jumper trick some months back that Land Cruiser Phil posted. Now my window rolls down without the key on "On".

Picked up a harbor freight case on sale a few months back for my compressor. Tight fit but it works. Got the 4x4 Labs rear baskets. This should be a nice spot for the compressor. I'd prefer to integrate in somewhere but don't want it under the hood (it's too big anyway) and don't feel like running power to the rear at this time. This thing cranks the air.

Interested on hearing your thoughts on the revolution gears.
Before I made a purchase I reached out to Zuk the differential guru. Here is what he said:
"I always recommend www.revolutiongear.com because they give you the option of a REM super polish on the gears which should really be considered mandatory. Probably in the near future all gears will be supplied as super polished or shot peened."

Apparently these do not require any break-in period which is great.

Hi @Arizona Jeff just read your thread, really cool you’ve been at it on this truck for 10yrs.

I am planning to put 6.5” speakers in my rear doors (97 lx450). Can you tell me how your install went, what you had to trim, what spacers you needed? Will be installing mine in the orikawa door cards.

New seats! Hoping to install them before the weekend. Corbeau Sport in Spice color. They are a great color match. I got into some deep water (long story) and fried my power seats. $1080 total delivered including brackets.

Thanks man. It's a labor of love as we all know. I've had a ton of fun wheeling it but don't get out nearly as much as I'd like. Hoping that changes in the years ahead. I had to trim the metal at the original speaker hole to increase the diameter. I just used a tin snips and made a bunch of cuts and then folded the "tabs" to the interior of the door. I purchased universal spacers but they wouldn't work for those speakers so I just made some out of mdf and painted them. I used 3/4" mdf that I had on hand. 3/8" would probably have done it.

Corbeau seat installation - A few comments that might help others:
-Like others, my bolt holes did not line up. Passenger side was good, drivers side was not. Fit the brackets before you mount the seats.
-Heater conflict on passenger side. Easy work with a dremil. Multiple layers of foil tape was my workaround.
-You re-use the factory seatbelt receiver. If you just bolt these up they will potentially lead to a premature wear in the seat fabric. I had to put mine in a vice and bend them. This created much less "rub" when the seats are slid all the way back.
-I am very happy with the "Spice" color. They look good in the rig.
-Can't fully comment on the comfort but the bolsters fit me nicely. (5'-11, 205 pounds of pure love)
-If you are tall you will like how far back these glides go. Huge improvement.

Initial heater setup.

After cutting. It clears when glides are slid fully back.

After multiple layers of foil tape.

New and old comparison.

Initial passenger seatbelt receiver conflict. I'm not even all the way back with the seat.

Factory setup with slight bend.

After adjustment. I actually bent it even more after this picture. I'm going to stick a piece of felt on the receiver between it and seat to help. They still contact but this is much much better and I'm not worried about it wearing into the seat fabric.

Bracket conflict on drivers side. I will be making this final adjustment tonight. I made the mistake of mounting the seat before fitting. :bang:
