I am considering the Orange Box Fabrication window storage systems. Honestly i want them more so i can leave the windows open with my dog in the back and she cant get out. Also i am hoping to attach a good 12v fan to it to help circulate air for my dog. Any an suggestions would also be great.

Really i just need some type of bars or expanded metal over the rear windows.I think with a welder and some time i could probably build what i need out of something cheap. But honestly i dont have a welder or time. Has anyone used these or have any good pictures?

Check out Boltripper's build thread. Somewhere near the end he fabricates something that might work well for what you want or get your ideas cooking.

I do love them got them for the same reason the pups since this photo was added I've mounted some pouches and a velcro tear away panel for my first aid kit. Build quality is amazing and customer support was outstanding as well. He is expanding his product line and is making a rear bumper now as well I'm excited to see what he comes up with.

Thanks for the pictures. I have a few questions for you. Are those the full or partial coverage ones? Also how much do the stick out from the windows? Could you measure or try to get a picture? I wish they sat closer to the window. Do you have to drill holes through the interior panel in order to bolt them to the body?

Also, what is the other mount in the picture that is bolted to the floor?

I can get more pics this afternoon these are the partials I am undecided if I want full or not. They rest against the panel at the bottom the other mount is for the full panel I was sent it by mistake it connects to the panel at the bottom giving it a more stable position. They can sit closer to the window if you want you just have to take the spacers out at the bottom or see if Darrel will send some shorter ones.

I don’t have the orange box window storage but have seen them a few times in person and they look great.

They stick out so far from the windows so you can still open and close the sliders. You could probably use smaller standoffs and move closer to the window. Darrel at OBF will do pretty much whatever you want to do. Id get a set of walmart solar lights, and use the solar and battery to run a fan for the pups. the panel can be stuck in the window with tape.

He has a couple of models for the 80s, a full width, and half width.

Ermyer is away from mud this week with his fam, so he may not be able to chime in.I think he was looking at using a hinge on the top mount so the panel could be tilted inward out of the way.

I'm also waiting impatiently for the rear bumper. Ive got the drawings of it, and its slick.

I've got the OBF panels for my gx470 and love them.

I built these window covers, bottoms screw in behind plastic trim.

Let me know if you are still interested in our racks. If you still have any questions about the. Just ask us . They offset at the top .250 at the bottom .750

One other comment. the raw expanded metal has very sharp edges due to the stamping process. Probably not the best idea for dog noses to be grinding up against.

OBF's stuff is nice and smooth, so no cut up noses.

While very true about sharp edges on the raw steel I’ve never had a problem with my Australian Sheppard “Retired war dog”, and I spoil her worse than I did my kids! (to be fair though she kept me, and my Marines fairly safe in the sand box on multiple dets!)
The few rough edges are nothing a simple grinder, or file, can’t take care of! *plus you save probably $100 (at least) if you DIY.

Took some more pics today sorry it took a minute had to take some pouches off and rearranged to better suit my needs. These are the partial panels I might buy the fulls but I like that the dogs can still stick some of their face out the window a little but not enough space for them to jump out.

I have dogs too. These look like a great way to keep them in the back with the windows open. Also great for hanging storage. Can anyone post up any more pics of these installed...particularly what the full version looks like?

Anyone ever tried this with the @Delta VS attic brackets?
Looks like they might slightly interfere with the mounting of our brackets. Our brackets match the angle of the sheetmetal under the handle, from the above pics it looks like the mount under the handle is going down at a little more of a vertical angle. Something that will for sure work with our brackets is this: Delta Vehicle Systems ceiling storage options (if you already have our brackets)
