anybody ever put an fj40 fuel tank in an fj55?

It seems like this is a pretty good resource thread for Pig fuel tanks.

I am wondering if anyone has opened up their fuel level sender?

I have one that reads fine, and another that reads maybe ~1/4 low when the tank is full. Wondering if there is any fix for that?
I did. It is very basic and if the fuel system got a lot of rust in it that will bridge between the wire wraps on the sender. Also, the wiper will eventually get a wear spot in it and wear through making for an inaccurate reading. That’s what happened to mine…

Good stuff guys! I will dig into the spare one I have, it came with the second tank I got from Ige/ @nuclearlemon .

My issue with that one was that it would only read 3/4 full when I filled the tank.

This seems to be the best resource we have for Pig fuel tanks, so I will add this little gem from @sneaky:

Pretty good illustration of the internal plumbing, minus the actual fill port.
