I don't think so.Nice work. Are these the same springs @DoubleNickels had replicated?
The only problem I ran into was one of the spirals was too big and wouldn’t allow the lock to open all the way. So, I installed the spring with no problems. I made the legs just short enough to get in, but not so sloppy that they will fall out. I installed the latch on the door and cycled the lock as well as the latch multiple times with no issue. I actually repaired and cycled the other two latches I have and they as well function great. I did find another issue with the interior door handle, the spring was broke in that as well, but I found a replacement locally. I don’t know what others use for lock lube/cleaner/etc..., but this stuff is awesome.

I wasn’t able to find a replacement spring, I found a replacement in terms of the handle itself, but I wonder if other Toyota’s of that era would have that same spring. I went up to get the handle I found locally and sure enough the spring was broke as well, but he gave me the rear left handle which had a good spring. Everything besides the linkage was the same, so I swapped the linkage and called it good. As for the Houdini I usually buy it at my local locksmith, but I have seen it on Amazon. Can you elaborate on the replacement you found for the spring at the inner door handle? I thought Calvin researched this pretty well.
Where do you buy the Houdini?
Thanks, I forget about the hot water trick. I used two sewing pins, one of each side to spread them out just enough to wiggle the rod out, then used the Houdini and it slid back together it worked well. I was able to remove two rods this way and salvaged both plastic retainers. In your first photo of post #95 the little white plastic clip that holds the rod to the handle breaks when taking off. If you break any let me know I have some replacement ones that work, no perfect, but if you soak them in HOT water they go right on.
