@toy_tek The voltmeter does bounce around with the blinkers by about 0.5V in every single 60 I’ve seen. Going to LED cuts it down to about 0.1V. This is not a shameless plug for my LED flasher module - just a data point.

Toyota, in my opinion, used too thin of wiring gauges on these trucks, so every little bit you can help the system out is good.
 
Rear Storage/platform New
In lieu of pulling the seat brackets and painting them like I should, I got started on the rear storage/platform. This is as far as I made it last night. Using 1/2" as a base, probably for the rest as well using pocket holes and stuff. With proper bracing it'll be totally strong enough.

This touches on another subject I am about to embark/continue on and that is wiring up additional outlets in the back. I have the stock alternator and have some occasional use accessories (Winch (direct to batt), Air Comp and aux lights wired to a blue sea fuse/buss that is in turn wired to the battery via 4 awg wire) but not much else. Just need an additional plug for my fridge. I have solar on my truck and I really like having an independent power source. Since I don't have time to wire up solar and everything else I need to do, I figure a 12 awg x 16' 12v extension wired from the Blue Sea block with a 30 amp fuse.
The fridge draws .88 amp hours/ 55 +/- watts.

I’m a fan of the Blue Sea stuff. Not that my opinion really matters… like where is is all going.

If you're worried about strength, you could add some aluminum or steel L-brackets to areas you're concerned about.

I have a blue sea block in my 87 4Runner and it works great and kinda organizes the wiring but I’m going to run an SPOD type unit in the 62. Less wiring to run to the cabin, just one switch panel that controls everything. That’s my next move, that will make any lights/accessories much easier to deal with.

I wonder if you can control high / low heated seats with an SPod
 
Made a little headway on the rear storage/platform deal and added an MPG extractor...
