I did “finish” sealing the gutters but did a pretty sloppy job of it. I always assume I can handle my caulk well but it usually ends up a gooey mess. No close up photos due to shame. Got a can of “color match” paint I’ll put on this next week once the goo has cured and I do what I can to tidy up mess.

She ran great and performed well. Cruising in the low to mid 70’s at an average of 14 mpg. Mega head wind on the way down turned into a mega tailwind on the way back. Nothing beats a strong tailwind for easy driving.
low 70 mph, windy AF, and 14 mpg...? Might make me think of a 60/62 more seriously.

If there is some signage that is interesting in there that “may get tossed”, holla. Always in search of the good oldies.

Ha, all of those have been created for tv commercials or shows. It’s all fake.

Lots of start and stop too on those country FM roads and revenue generating speed zones like 75 mph to 35 mph. Complete with a friendly cop conveniently waiting there to welcome you to town…

Slider steps
Big push on the slider step project. Went over to my buddies place as he is a waaay better welder than I am. I could do it just fine but I know he’ll just dive in while I do all the cutting and sizing and stuff.

Did it blow up yet or later tonight?

10:13 tonight?
That’s just some random corner in his shop. He’s Mensa level fabricator and definitely the dude you want in your corner in a scrap.

He also made a device out of an old ac compressor motor and a caulk gun that randomizes the shaking of rattle cans… it is named the Ass Blaster 3000 for some reason.
