Moving on…

I had long wanted to try the One Stone arm rests. They had a flash sale and I had a bit too much to drink.

WOW. They are such a nice upgrade and feel so right. Super simple to install and are very secure.

Only downside I see is a cop spotting an open container with ease which for you is a non issue🤪.

Drinking and driveway…

Does fit my Yeti 22oz coffee cup just fine though.
I am blown away by how natural they are in the truck, my arm simply finds it.

I hope my knockoffs go on like that.

Edit: I am holding one up, and honestly, I think they both came from the same factory. Even the same name plate indentation. But mine says 'HOECHUR'. lol :)
Could be, maybe the quality of the magnets? These are no joke.

Their website says some modifications needed for a 62. Were they pretty straightforward?
I don’t know why they say that, I did absolutely nothing to them. Took them out of the very well padded box and slapped them on. Both sides fit as perfect as you see in the pic above.

Oh, mine came with a free knock off yeti tumbler, nice bonus I guess.

I love my onestone armrests. One of my favorite interior mods!

As for the instructions, they want you to cut away the top of the doorcard to get direct magnet on metal contact. However, I installed mine over the doorcard with no issues. The magnets are pretty strong.

Haha, I didn’t even look at the “instructions”.

I’m putting the Orikawa door panels I scored from SAS last year (thanks @OlYellr) so it will be metal on metal then, but I see no problem with these going right over the vinyl covered metal top on the door card.

Just to confirm, you bought the ones for the 70 series?

Yes. Also, don’t know why they don’t say they fit the 62 perfectly.

Mega worth it.

I also have the knock offs and sense putting them on they have not moved, opening and closing doors (my drivers needs a good push to close) they don’t shift around at all. Will see how they hold up.

Dang Matt, just seeing this and just looked at your site. Didn't realize you are offering some very needed, very nice items for these swaps! "Small" things that are important to making these swaps clean. I got one of your early wiring harness convertors, now I need a couple more items to clean mine up.

Matt’s got the shiz.

Gear oil
I loathe filling a transmission or t case with the stupid pump things from the auto parts store. I made this. Works well, if not a bit slow. At least I’m not covered in gear oil.

That’s how we do it here at the shop as well

Easy solution
With a Home Depot garden sprayer?

I had the idea the other day when I was pumping gear oil into Galen’s HJ61 down at Jimmy’s and the F’ing hose flew off the bucket pump. Spent a 1/2 hour cleaning gear oil off of everything. Looked it up and of course other people have done it, I’m not that smart.

It was pretty cold today and even though I’d stored the GO inside I ended up putting the pump in a bucket of hot water. I’d say it took about 10 minutes with a few pump pumps here and there to re-pressurize the dude. Good lord does it beat the syrup pump thing, especially with more than 5 liters.
