My radio hasn’t been working so it was a good time to figure it out. Found the battery wire to radio was cut. Tore the dash open.

Ran a jumper to the battery and when I turned the ignition it came on. Removed the fuse block and stuck there jumper into the fused side of the cig fuse. Turn on ignition and it worked. Pulled fuse and it turned off. How many amps is a radio typically on?

Wired in radio to the 7.5 amp dome light fuse.

Wow... thanks a lot.
I’m in about 10-15K. That’s with the Hutchinson DOT beadlocks, biggest splurge.
I knew little to start about motor swaps. Read a little here and there, just knew one day I was going to convert to diesel. It finally happened and has been over a year of work. Having a family and full time job is hard. Friends have been great and the support on IH8MUD. I’ve grown a lot during the build. Hopefully it’ll be done for my over the hill party next February:rofl:
I’ve tried to share my story through the build to give some background. I enjoy reading other build threads here on MUd. It brings some getting to know the person even if we never meet. Thanks again for the support.

This video had no muffler or exhaust pipe past the transfer case. I’m not sure if I have a recent video with the exhaust done but sounds like a tractor.

I’ve read the back of the motor is a better location for the water temp sensor. Is this the location with the plug?

Correct.

I've had a flex-a-lite fan controller in my truck for 6 years now. Very happy with it.

Should I go that route or Derale? I like hearing opinions.
The Derale controller seems very good too as it’s on the CPP diesel site for a diesel dual fan controller.
