Now it’s time for nitty gritty dialing it in.
One thing I noticed is lack of the “Paint Shaker” effect. Either it’s not noticeable to me or the motor mount shocks are working well. The noise was even less than I thought. In my video the 4WD stock shifter hole is still wide open and I still don’t have the exhaust pipe ran, it’s still dumping under the hood. Debating the SOA now. I’m at stock height with everything installed. Suspension discussions need to be talked about. Stuff to button up before suspension. Just so excited to actually have it drive itself now!

Here is the cruiser with complete diesel swap at stock suspension still SUA. Needing advise from the Mud forum on suspension.

You said you're considering going SOA, but you already fit everything SUA. "Suspension discussions need to be talked about." isn't enough for anyone to provide you any sort of advice

As a question, or describe your dilemma, and we can help. If you want pros and cons of going SOA, search :flipoff2:

I like the SUA look but do like the SOA with ability to go about anywhere.

Do you intend to wheel this fairly hard, or will this be a pavement pounder with some gravel roads thrown in there?

Your intended use of the vehicle is most important here.

Backcountry travel but is also my DD. My goal is bead locks so I can air down tires for back country travel to remote forest service cabins in the snow. SOA seems most logical to me but thought I’d throw out the question. Driving it yesterday allowed me to question myself about this again. I just talked to my buddy Matt who has an 80’s SOA 4Runner... and of course he votes SOA.

If I were you, I'd leave the suspension as it is for now. Work on getting all the little things right with the engine swap first, and then drive the truck a whole lot to see how you like the suspension. If you find it lacking for the back country travel, then go SOA.

The cruiser is a totally different animal now
