It seems as though you have something amiss. If the axle is locked then both wheels should be spinning in the same direction. Was this with the engine running and in gear or you are rotating the wheels manually?

Sounds like it's not locking 🤨 when it locks both tires should move in the same direction. Do you have a center diff lock switch ?

Feel free to call me next time your messing with and I can walk you through it.
My bad fellas. The wheels were rotating the same direction after locking it up.
Edited my post above.

In that case it sounds like your issue is then the sensor switch on the axle needs some tlc or replacement to get the dash light functioning. Shorting the pins on the connector will prove that.

Man, I step away for a bit and all sorts of cool sheet happens. Great work Pell. Did anyone call dibs on your delta arms yet?

Thanks Mike. They sold immediately. I should’ve charged COVID tax!

Yep. Per you and @Broski i planned to check out the sensor switch. I took it off and it looked fine. I sprayed it with contact cleaner and let it dry out. I didn’t try shorting it out though so I’ll try that after my work travel is over and I’m home for the evening. I already ordered a new switch because I’m confident thats what it is. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks! Definitely easier with two dudes muscling stuff around than me trying to monkey-fork a football. Yeah, I don't know G; I never moved the AC dryer, so maybe a PO moved it, or that's how it comes. I doubt a PO moved it based on my limited history of the cruiser, but it's a safe bet.

BTW, I texted you. Quit ignoring me.
Really? I've done mine 3 times in essentially a 1x car garage by myself. :flipoff2:

You really are Airforce.

I was waiting for you to give me hell. I’m full of excuses so I’ll just take the abuse🤣

The cdl is a fickle little bitch. definitely do the paper clip test before you go buying parts like I did with mine. I ended up replacing 2 of the sensors that were apparently fine before discovering that I had a dead bulb. If you do need a sensor get the napa backup sensor for like $20 instead of the $100 toyota one. (I kept mine as a spare )

Thanks for the info! My CDL is fine. It’s just the indicator on the dash for my rear locker. I can hear and feel the locker engaging but the stupid light blinks. It worries me when I thought my rear wasn’t locking as I have to remove my thirds after transporting my cruiser across country and am running out of time to order parts, troubleshoot, fück things up worse than before etc etc.

Then again, I suppose I can outsource everything like @Feldrian does. :flipoff2:

It was cold and wet outside…he looked sad…In a moment of weakness I let him in for some heat and moral support.

I would like to point out that if your 94 is like mine the breather vent terminates right at the driver rear wheel well and should be extended up into rear quarter panel to help keep water out of the actuator ;)

Just as I had single-handedly predicted it was my sensor switch. No thanks to anyone but me for my superior troubleshooting skills. You’re welcome.

Just kidding! Thanks @Broski and @ppc im sure I would’ve arrived to same conclusion (stfu everybody) but you guys made light work of it.

Everything works as advertised now.

Yes, she’s dirty as hell. I know

You all know I’ve been busy with the cruiser and home renovations since retiring from the military. Got a new job, settling into these new digs, etc., etc. house constantly has people coming in and out. The basement is fully renovated now, new roof, new plumbing, a soft water system, new electricity from home to the barn, etc etc; etc. we’re still not done, but this is definitely a one-bite of the elephant-at-a-time kind of approach.

All that said, time got away from me. I’m shopping for trailers to tow my 80 and whatever else with. I was shopping relatively passively. After all, I have plenty of time. Right? It wasn’t until this weekend when I was working outside under the sun, it occurred to me, I told Zuk I was dropping my thirds off to him around the 27. What is the date anyway? 19th? Wtf?

Realizing I was still a trailer short I had to get a move on. I had several options around me. I have literally 100s of trailer outlets within 75 miles of me in any direction. I already had several leads, but it was the 18’ BigTex EE equipment trailer I really wanted.

It was supposed to come in a few weeks ago, but it kept pushing, so I settled on a 20’ Big Tex basic equipment trailer.

I still need to get some wheel wraps/tie-downs from Tractor Supply, but that should be it for my trip this Friday, which is only 4 days away. Holy hell.

I am going to need a trailer like that eventually... have some friends and we are trying to plan our own version of "Cheap truck challenge" ... $5k buy and build... will need a way to haul whatever POS I build to the trails!

Sounds like an officer

A 20 footer seems like a ‘tweener” Bigger than needed for one car but not big enough for two. How about a big goose neck and haul two at a time?

I wanted a 16-18 foot but none were available. This one is nice because it is stripped down. Comes with 16” wheels, dual brakes, 8k jacks and not much else. I bought the spare tire and 4-D rings. Need to buy some sturdy straps and cargo nets for my tires. Friday is coming up fast.

And a winch at the front…
