I’ve been trying to find the model car these headrests came from. Have looked at Cressidas, Coronas and Centuries, but no joy. I think they look great.

I'm not sure these are unobtanium parts so much as options on a non-US-spec rig.

I have seen these window switches mainly on JDM (though this is LHD).

Ice maker and fridge are fun.

Two lumbar support options.

That’s a gold grill, headlight cover, and hood ornament.

Square headrests, hand grabs on the seat back, and magazine holders.

Rear AC units for flat roofs were designed in the corners. On high roofs, like the 105 Series, they were forward above the second row.

And the license plate in the bumper is pretty cool lit up.

I still haven’t figured out how to install seat belts for jump seats so the kids don’t ride the lightning in the way back drop seats.

I think someone asked if altimeters were ever available on the flat roof. Not a great picture but, yes, yes they were. Would be great if it read outside air in F instead of C.

The little ice trays in the center consoles always cracked me up

“Speaking of unobtainium, here’s the steering wheel that I’m hunting:”

Jim, is this the one you are looking for?

60 series fender flares.

These front bumper stops are interesting. There’s only one vendor selling them and I don’t really hear anything about that vendor on mud. I’ve heard these were available on South American 60 series but again information is pretty scarce. The stock photo does show that they are labeled Toyota Samurai.

I need a few of those sunroofs. Seems every 61 I get has cracked glass

How many 61s do you have?

As you probably know, they’re not the easiest part to come by. They’re big, fragile and shipping from overseas can be a nightmare (ask me how I know) and that’s if you can stomach the asking price. As a buddy in Australia said they’re as common as “hens teeth.”

A friend of mine sent that photo to me the other day because he knew I was looking. I’d already found one so I didn’t need this one… and apparently, it could not be insured by DHL.

You were the guy I talked to about the plastic cladding for the rear AC ducts right? Did you ever track that down? I shook some trees and got absolutely nothing.

Cladding is not ringing a bell, Jim. Which part specifically are you chasing? We had a brief email communication where you asked about importing parts from other countries but I never heard back from you. I might be able to help with the AC part if you have a picture, or the exploded diagram.

Somebody asked me for a plastic trim piece that covered the D-pillar ductwork for the rear AC. I wasn’t able to help them because that’s pretty far outside of my wheelhouse.

Sorry if I never responded! That wasn’t my intention, but I guess I dropped the ball!

All good. You’re busy doing good work for the Land Cruiser community.
