60s with canoes and maybe other boats (1 Viewer)

The cheapest option would be to take your measurements and make your own.

Short of that, you might be able to call Marathon Boats with your specs/serial number and get one?

Loaded up both 60s today with a couple of canoes, 14' solo Mad River and late 80s 15' Mohawk whitewater boat, and @cruiserinsanity and I spent a few hours on the Coosa River. Only the lower 7 undammed miles are worth floating and this is a popular stretch of river with a few fun rapids.

Gavin running the left side of Mocassin Gap. Mocassin Gap has the largest set of whitewater on the Coosa, left side is straight through, right side is more challenging.

Quick float on the Coosa River this afternoon. FJ60 was the upper river shuttle vehicle and the Corolla All-Trac the take-out shuttle vehicle. A lot easier to load the All-Trac but the long overhanging Yakima bars are a danger.

Did 7-8 miles of the Colorado River near Moab last week, scenery was unmatched. There were a few low-grade rapids in that stretch that were nothing for an inflatable watercraft, but a little spicy for a long canoe. Had a little chaos moment over the first set where a current coming from the side pushed the stern out from behind me, pushing us sideways into some 3’ tall standing waves. We took on quite a bit of water and the dog jumped overboard in the heat of battle. I got us straightened out through the last set and then over to the shore where we emptied the water out. The gunwhale was about 1” or less out of the water as we came out of the waves onto flat water. The rest of the trip was good but that moment was a nail biter. Wear your life jacket and don’t underestimate the power of water.

@POTATO LAUNCHER Note Karen’s SAS8 hat. That thing stays on her head almost every day.

Prepping for field work later this week collecting water samples on tributaries of the Locust Fork in N Alabama. We refer to this canoe as the tweaker boat, a friend bought for $150 from folks that appeared to be tweakers. Name on the boat is "One More Time." The canoe is a 1980s Mohawk Rogue, a moderate white water boat.

Three days on the water this week with the 60 hauling a canoe. Only one day having to deal with a canoe trailer; canoe trailers can be a pain.

More info on what we encountered on two of the days.

Loaded up boats and paddled a new stretch of water yesterday. FJ60 hauling the Mohawk and Mad River while the 80 series carried the Dagger. We did a 6 mile float on the Tallapoosa River that has a lot of shoals. Good float but a little more water would have made for more fun.

This is the best thread I didn't know I needed. I need to fix my 60 so I can haul my 17' aluminum canoe around (and do some paddling).

No canoe but we took our kids floating on our paddleboards down our local small river. About 2.5 hours with intermittent paddling. Some turkeys came down to water, saw a coyote get a rabbit, tons of fish. Oh ya, and a moose jumped in next to us and then was a little confused on what he should do. We gave him lots of space.
