The hardware soaked in the Evapo-Rust for about 24 hours and cleaned up nicely. I also took a wire wheel to the step mounts, then painted them.

Today I replaced the metal 4 blade fan with plastic 6 blade fan. Replaced the old universal radiator with a Toyota OEM radiator. New thermostat. And all associated hoses and gaskets to go with it all.

I’m close to 15 years with my big cap, recently changed the cap and rotor but otherwise I just drive it.

I changed to Pertonix @ 10 years ago and have not had an issue. I like not messing with points and condensers. I do carry points and condenser with me in case the pertonix fails.

there have been and are some good deals to be had on a few 40's but most buyers want pretty and a low price.

Need to get the proper metal fuel line from pump to carb. Rubber and plastic with fuel being pumped through it directly over exhaust manifold is not good. This is a really good deal for someone though!!

I have carried my DR350 behind my 40. I use a Marks Offroad trailer reciever mounted to the rear frame. with a MC carrier hitched on. no problem.

This is my last rotation on the helicopter and I retire in December. May continue with some relief flying but full time work is DONE. Kind of bittersweet but looking forward to other adventures.
