So we had the bad engine. I ordered a short block and a bunch of other stuff. It will be here at some point. But @SNLC is going to install the brand new FTE in this truck with all the Gturbo goodies. That was the plan a few plans back. Bottom line, pretty much everything is there to put this truck back together now.

Yes and pump to 12mm iirc. I don’t recall on the ECU.

Cheers
When I tuned mine, with the same set up, we ended up being able to put a fair amount more boost in it to bring the AFRs to where I was happy with it. If you plan on doing that, installing the adjustable boost controller will be way easier now to do, because the boost T goes in the wastegate actuator line. I'm actually running 30psi at the intake with stock injectors.

Remember we are running it a bit on the lean side because you tow, AFR about 22:1 on boost

I should add @Indestructible 47 next time you bring your truck across I expect a blue wheel VNT and +130 injectors 🥳 gotta see if you can make more power than the Barra😁

@SNLC is busy at work. Today has been a good day.

The cluster is now complete and installed in the truck. First tests ongoing but sh*t is working so looks like the dash harness mashup is going to work nicely. Hope I don’t jinx it. The engine harness is still being assembled but that was expected. Soon.

@Onur got us a new transfer case coming today along with some additional items for the H152.

Bought a few more bits and pieces but the “purchase list” is really short at this point.

Test at very end of the day on the harnesses. No illumination, turn signals or lights working yet but ummm, besides that everything else is working.

😆

Cheers

Last pic for today. *cough* zero miles *cough*. 😉😆🤩

So as we begin to finalize the wiring harnesses, in the end we did use the HDJ80 harness from the donor truck. Only the main dash harness but that is the big one. The biggest hurdle was moving all the HVAC controls over to the HDJ80 harness from the FZJ80 harness. This was because the HDJ80 had fully mechanical controls (besides a/c button) on the HVAC system. The next biggest hurdle has been coming up with a good real and true HDJ80 cluster. Downhill from here on the wiring.

Cheers

The last few days have certainly been a turning point on finishing the truck. @Onur is working on a new transfer case to complete the drivetrain. Things are going back together. Just a few more details to iron out. And no more big ticket items to purchase. Though I’ve probably earned more than enough Amex points for a first class ticket to Boise.

Bolting the whole new power train together is going to one awesome day! 😎🤩😎

@SNLC has been busy. Dash harness is coming along nicely. We are going to toss in a Switch Pros SP9100 to keep the wiring clean.

Ian started breaking open the boxes with the transmissions for some pretty nice clutch kits.

We also got a last minute acquisition in today. Who knew you could still buy OEM oak carpet from Toyota? This was an absolute no-brainer.

Tomorrow could be a big day too. This engine is getting close.

We completely broke down the entire HVAC system today and cleaned every nook and cranny then reassembled.

We have new automotive duct and door foam (high temp) coming for the system to finish off the refresh. Well, there is a couple other things happening in the refresh of the system too. 😉

Cheers

Brake lights, running lights, turn signals, headlights all good to go. Only backup left to work out, things in the works for that. 😉

The HDJ80 Euro cluster and dash wiring has OEM fog lights. We have the switch and it’s been tested as well. We will be triggering our front Riged LED bar with this. Everything else through the switch pro.

I call these boxes from Australia “treasure chests”! 😂😍

A little FYI on the harnesses. We retained the FZJ80 from the dash back. The dash forward is currently HDJ80. The HDJ and the FZJ plug into each other no probs including doors.

Cheers

Absolute.

Perfection.
