this is the WAB installed.
you can see how tight it was to get the wiring harness to fit and look half ways decent.
one set of wires to the battery, one set to the controler under the dash, one set to the fuel pump and one set to the WAB...

with a bit of advise from Bruce (who answered all my questions for the install) i directed the exhaust pipe towards the oil pan, why waste perfectly good free heat?
i painted the control mounting bracket black, silver just didn't fit the interior of the truck. i wanted it to be as "quiet" as possible.
so that is it. i gave it a fire up and the coolant got warm quickly and as i mentioned earlier, the roar is quite loud at times.
if you ae interested in a Wabasco, contact Bruce. a good guy to deal with...

cheers

Hey Wayne
Looking forward to sseeing the pics when it is all done.I wish i had the time and money undertake such a lenghty project ,very very envious.
But the reason i'm writing is that i'm very interested in the propane injection that you mentionned and would like to know more.
Cheers

Hey Wayne
Me again also wondering on the Wabasco set up.Price range. Also wondering if you think i could squeeze this under the hood of a turbo'd 3B.Mving back to Yellowknife for the winter and i will most definitely need something to that effect since i will most be living without any power source on a houseboat.I have delt with Pro heat and other Wabasco on a lot of the equipement that i have run.Was planning on buying a generator to plug her in before trying to attempt a start up.I really like the idea of the self contained system.
If even possible what would i be looking at for installation hours.
Cheers
Happy thanksgiving

thanks, it is coming along nicely again but next week it is going back to the welding shop for the sides and the hoops... so if it is anything like last time it iwll be a month before i get it back...

so i just put my custom intercooler on order, just so everyone knows, the air flow for a diesel is 50% greater than the air flow for the gassers. i used the formula that was posted in another thread and was informed that that formula was incorrect for my application.
the air flow was 450 cfm for a PZ running 14 lbs of boost. the intercooler is being made so that i do not loose more than 1/4 psi from before the intercooler was installed...
cheers

okay, so cranked up the fuel till the over fuelingis just visable and the boost to 10 lbs and the 0-100 is now right on 16.1 seconds. this is pretty impressive since the 1HZ did the 0-100 in 15 seconds with 14 lbs of boost with no propane assist.

i think i will keep it at 10 lbs for the time being and install the propane injection and the intercooler, then maybe up the boost to 14 lbs.

not too shabby for an engine that is missing a cylinder...

cheers

first load to the dump, i will need to add a couple of springs back in if i want this to be a work truck...
cheers

Sweet! looking good.

Time to paint the frame thou! I agree a few extra springs maybe needed. But if your running around with no load that would have a smooth ride as is.

Looking forward to seeing it flex on the trails. Cause if you put those elec lockers in ya gotta work it.

once all the welding is done then i will paint the frame before the box goes back on...
she flexes real nice and with no load i should actually take another leaf out but i will give it a few more trips to see if it softens up...
thanks for the compliments guys...

Really nice truck Wayne.
I would love to see one of those set up with a camper .

actually, i measured up my tent trailer and the dimensions are a perfect fit so i was thinking that a slide in pop top tent would be pretty functional BUT i would have no where for the dog to ride so i dropped that idea..
this one is getting the canvass top on the back simular to my old one.

thank you
cheers

I thought cruiser the hairy beast rode in the front?

My dog sheds too much to get a seat to ride on.

you are right, usually Cruiser does ride in the front but i think Berni might be a bit crushed under his weight.
next time i build an extended cab or maybe a PZJ77 cab with a trayback out behind for a camper...
cheers
