Build 1995 PZJ75 refurbish/build up

I thought is a great idea / desing so specially those lateral arms to the frame front ends ..

Could be a issue for cooling seen it once befour..............

Might want to drop it between the rails for better air flow.

there is no issue with cooling, i have put a lot of city and highway km on this unit in the last few weeks. i would not recommend this for a LJ series but for the B,PZ,HZ i have no worries about the cooling. i wanted maximun clearence for aproaching banks excetera so all my custom bumpers are mounted above the frame. that 5 inches makes a big difference for the approach angle.

Damn sorry to hear the project was given up. Hopefully it went to a friendly new home. Full truck projects can be disappointingly slow. I have a BJ40 that's been "in the works" for 4+ years

It's amazing how long a project can take. My bj60 project is a at a year now. I am nowhere done yet. I wrench for a living so wrenching when I come home can be tiring too. So it takes a while.

Did you sell the PZ Wayne?

so i decided the 1/2 doors needed some "tidying up" so out came the jig saw and some aluminum checker plate...

the doors looked like this:

add a sheet of checkerplate:

self tapping screws and a bit of triming and in minutes you have this. it really does give it a finished look...

(i would rather have used just plain aluminum but this was previously sheered for this purpose.)

so what ARE you up to with this project? Like the checkerplate. On some bush planes I worked on we had entire floors covered in the stuff.

i had some "cleaning up" to do before it is gone on Monday...

here is the story for those of you that care,
as most of you already know i had lost interest months ago and i had a friend that had made me an offer to "take over" the project and hopefully see it to completion. he wanted it much more than i did and after the rag top 70 came along that sealed the deal. as of Monday it goes to a new home.

the rag top should be here mid Sept and the start of a new project will begin. this time the only mods will be those that i can do myself (if i do mod it at all)...

there you go guys, no big mystery, i just didn't want to post the outcome till i knew for sure myself what was happening...

i hope to post closure pics next week...
