I went down this rabbit hole... When I did my swap, I had ripped out the interior.. laid down kilamat and closed cell foam layer.. it helped. Still had heat and sound making it's way in. Went back to searching and gave Second Skin Heat Wave Pro – Jute with Reinforced Foil a try. This helped tremendously. I don't get heat coming in, especially around the trans tunnel area. Sound has also gone down quite a bit. I don't know your exhaust set up but on mine, no cats and to a borla oval muffler. Had the Borla XR-1 muffler on there as my first setup.. it was loud... Second one was stock Tundra muffler (sounded decent.. sounded like a Tundra).. and what I'm running now is the oval Borla. Got the sound back.. not as loud as the XR-1. But anyway, it could be a combination of all 3 layers, but I like where it's at now. AC is a lot more efficient now.

Next time I'm in Wichita to see my parents I'll hit you up. Think for Memorial Day weekend we'll be up there.
with my stock 1hdt i absolutely cannot drive with windows down as the heat that is pulled in to cabin is tremendous. everything is factory. its so bad that after 30 mins of freeway driving, my leg hair has burnt off and the dash is hot to the touch, the certain metal parts will burn u i feel lol. glass up and ac on and the tunnel is lukewarm. glass down and its like the fires of mordor
