Tucker if you tried to message ms recently my box was full. It should have space now. Anyways not much is new. The bows for my 40 are painted which is good. Only real problem left is getting the wipers wired and the brake/turn signal wiring figured out. When stopping and signaling at the same time it isn't working currently like it should. Anyways winch pieces are at the blaster probably going to be another week on those since the blaster is pretty busy right now. In the mean time I ordered a couple shirts from folks on here. The first one came in tonight. It's too notch and the fabric of the shirt feels like it could hold up for a long time. If you own any NRA shirts it's like those maybe not as stiff.

On another note I was on my way to the cove tonight to meet Amy for dinner and I was stopped and out of the midst of downtown San Antonio a yellow 45 pulled up to the sign across from me. Of course like any creep I followed the gent until he stopped. We spoke for a few minutes as I was blocking traffic with my truck. Gent is a local mud member and said he picked up his beautiful yellow 78 fj45. Anyways I hope he attends the club meeting next month. I forgot to take a picture so I circled the block once again like a creep and took a drive by picture. He had my catcher mask bumper on the front : (

Well since It seems I will not ever receive the OCD top I paid for in October 2010, until I can find a company to produce a top for me I decided to order the full family bikini top from TPI. I'm not sure what the quality is but for $69.00 compared to the $145.00 that SOR wants for pretty much the same product on paper I decided to try the TPI. Anyways we will see how it fits over the OEM bows.

I just ordered the smaller top and had to order the front windshield piece too. And some drilling is required.

Ahh what kind of drilling? Drilling for the windshield channel? I hope so since mine is already drilled. How's the quality of the one you bought? Are you happy?

The TPI family bikini top is excellent in quality and construction. I doubt the SOR version could be any better. A couple of the local guys here have the same TPI family top you ordered. You'll be pleased.

Are you tossin' in the towel on OCD? He actually shipped a top today. You could have yours by Christmas.

Lee,

That's great to know. I was hoping it was a good quality product but the price compared to others made it seem questionable. As for OCD, well you know how I feel there. The guy is Impossible and doesn't seem to want to work.

I got my box of goodies from Warn today. I'm not so sure everything is there though. Seems like I might be missing something.

Here's a pic of the goods

Ya I'm happy with it. Some of the holes didn't line up with the TPI piece. But I was able to put it on securely without drilling the windshield frame. Most drilling will have to be on the TPI part and you have to drill the holes larger to fit the stock bolts that go on the outside edge of the frame. Also my frame has a lot of holes in it already so it was easy to install.

I apologize but I must not be understanding you mate. Why do you have to drill anything in the TPI top? Doesn't the top just have a hard plastic piece that slides into the windshield rail and then you just hook the straps? I apologize but if you didn't have to drill the windshield frame for the windshield top rail I am lost. Maybe some pictures? I'd appreciate some pictures to give me a heads up on what I might have to drill.

Mounted the back half of the bows, still need to wire the wipers so that's why I haven't connected the pieces that connect from the b pillar to the windshield

Ah don't be jealous! It probably look like crap 6 months after I start driving it. $300 is a good price does it work and have the controller?
