This is the third oil canister I get restore!
first was the early 62, second was an 69, and this is an 68 wich I liked most!!
it has the oem bracket and all things inside, well let see......

carb done waiting for the solenoid!

I can see you friday at what time will be ok?

I will be in the shop Thursday and Friday afternoon, as well as Monday afternoon next week. Not sure after that. I have a lot of volunteer work going on out in the desert these days. Look forward to meeting you.:)

i arrives with mark and was serving a customer, took his car to check because it had not been on for 3 years
During the restoration, Mark check it out and it sems to be the ignition coil, he discuss some think with the customer and he just put some parts an voala, car start , it feels like a baby born! Customer so happy ........ And Mark to!!

i found with Mark and it was a little demage
Wll I glued togeder and fil the holes with 1/16 acrylic . Glad the regular acrylic glue do his job and hold it good

Im on the airport waiting for the 1:00 AM fligth!!! Tired but exited.... At last I can take the 68 manifoold to home I hope the plane take care of him itsa truely 68 one and I think is going to be so hard to get another one,
Planing to match the carb on it and put in to the engine , lets see what wife say(upsy) I will get at 6 AM at the oficeso I can hide all and she dont start sayn something...................... O got I love her!!!

OK i HAVE THE WINDSHIEL WIPER JAR , CLEANED WITH ACID AND GOOD TO GO!!

Nice !!!elaborate please. type of acid, strength and procedure.....
 
First you have to were rubber globs and save lens,
take an 1/2 lt of hidrochloric acid
(this acid is use for take of the scale of walls and on hard water sediments, on floor and tubes)
mix with a 1 lt of water
and put the jar in to it all the way and leave like 30 min or as need it
this acid is dangerous for the eyes and skin so take care for splash or fell down
than throaway on regular drain
after that wash with water and size with a spongeand and get in to all inside corners
thats it !!

I got thr exhaust manifold
take all apart sand blasted and painted " dupli-color 1200 F heat resist paint"
aluminium mixed with black , and get the metal grey.
also I get the zinc plate parts for the rise heat vavle!!
now wait until it gets cure
I dont get some of the intructions paint
it say , paint time to time and wait 7 days for another coat( that is ok) but after it say you can cure 2 hours on 300 F in a oven , but it has to be after de 7 days?????
or after 3 hours that I can touch it??????? please help!!~

Heat rise valve installed and tested!!
Coold valve close the way out
when the heat is applied on the coil , its turn on open to exhaust flow!!

4 WD CONNECTION SWITCH
well I found a very good 4WD conection switch but it came damege so I fix it and I can see how this work inside, I draw the parts on CAD and cutt it on the laser and make it work!!
I just want to know the colors of the wires that are atach to it!! if some body can letme know I apreciate tha:confused::confused:t!!
