Well, a solid 4 hours on the lv tonight.....and that was between 2 guys so a total of 8 hours. Had another buddy of mine who is an ex-body guy, still does a few odd jobs on the side. Came over to give me a hand with buffing and check out the project..:)

All evening was spent buffing out what I had sanded with 1500 on Sunday, which was the entire vehicle.... Went pretty good with 2 guys, long process, but took our time and kept at it for 4 hours straight.

I used the Wizzard products that Darin had been using on his lwb...also a couple local body guys and the autoparts store reccomended it, so I thought I woudl give it a try. Worked really, really well. Started with the Turbo cut, then went to the finish cut and then washed it down with soap and water, dried it and wiped it down with the Wizzard's wipe down sauce.

Needless to say....I'm happy with the end product. Like anything in life you look back and say, maybe could have done that a tiny bit better...but the overall product I think speaks for itself.

Hopefully start bolting emblems, door handles and other chub back on tomorrow night...

Matt,

Looking great!!!!!! That is the best looking Cruiser I have ever seen. The sad thing is I don't know what I'm going to do in another month or so when you get done and I can't get my daily fix from this thread. Thanks again for taking the time to document your resto for us. :D

Mike

As far as being done...I think your closer on the, "so" part :D

Going to be longer than a month...that's for sure, still got a ways to go ;)

Remarkable work!

For a goober like me, even I think it ain't to bad..;p But, thanks :)

I'm hoping I can get a few of those other projects done and mailed off this next week now.

It's hard though, as soon as I reach a point I think I'll take a break, but then I can't stop. I have to move onto the next hurdle......it's a sickness

And the reality is that those cruiser companies would never touch a rig that was in the condition Matt started from - and his end result is still going to eclipse theirs!

Great Job!:bounce:

That think is remarkable looking.......hope some day to cast my eyes on it in person..........don't set Poser near it, he will scratch it on purpose........
great work.....

Matt, Glad i could help you with one thing on this. Also look at some of the other stuff they carry, like the stuff for plastic bumper pieces and stuff, have been using their stuff for years. I should be starting back up on mine tomorrow finally again, least for a bit, till i get my parts for the 40.

Question for you, got any of the old engine components left that you need to get rid of to a good home ?
