I ain't complaining, the price was right... My bottle was busted at the bottom so both bottles in there are the ones you gave me.

The motor was a bit rusty though ;p

Sounds like a plan....Thanks

You can buy replacement pumps at Schucks/Kragen/Parts America. About $20. Got one there for my '82 FJ40.

Question for you, got any of the old engine components left that you need to get rid of to a good home ?

Let Matt help you first but if he doesn't have what you need/want shoot me a PM. I'm NOT using the old F from my '67 FJ45LV and it was running (sort of) when I drove it back after buying it last spring.

Thanks Man. What i am really needing is all the stuff for the carb linkage. We do not want to talk about what came on mine. But i really appreciate the offer.

Sorry to hijack Matt.

By the way Matt, did you see the thing about the Maas ?

Were these a generic, remote mount unit or an OE replacement piece, meaning, does it attach to the tank the same as the OE unit did? If it is an OE replacement piece, do you have the PN?

Napa/Carquest/Checker, etc around here do not list an OE replacement pump, only a generic, remote mount unit.

Matt-

I was not able to find another bottle/pump unit....sorry man.

The Toyota # for the pump is 85330-60110…still serviced, none in North America....38 and change...

It came with an o-ring and mounted to the OE location. I bought it at Schucks or the equivelent (any of the partsamereica.com chain of stores). Just did a search and one of them shows this pic. I think this is actually nicer than the one I got. It was all plastic. This one is pn 174096 $21.88

Part number 177690 doesn't have a pic but also doesn't say universal (some of them do). It's $17.88 and instock where I live.

Not a ton done on the lv tonight, had a couple things to take care of so only a little over an hour.

I did however take a few hours off of work this afternoon. I had to drive to a nearbye town about 60 miles away to get powersteering hoses made up. No one locally can do it and since it's crunch time, I figured I better just get it done.

Got those installed tonight along with the turn signals. I also put back together the vent windows and there assemblies. Installed the windows back in, can't lock them yet because I don't have the stainless steel pieces on the inside. It would bark up the paint if I did without them.

Hoping it quits rain and I have a pile of small stuff to sandblast. If I can get that blasted tomorrow night, might start shooting some paint tomorrow night or Saturday.....

Perfect, what part# should I order then? Or which part# did you get?

I will have to order it online, so link would be perfect. I live in the sticks and they don't have them fancy stores like that around here ;p

Thanks, Matt

We can do hydraulic hoses at work, but don't have the right ends for power steering lines.....

Northern Power is the only place around that has those fittings :)

You probably remember the place, right down by the river about a block away from the train ;)

Hi Darin,

Yep, saw the thing about the Maas, might give it a try if I run across it. Had the flitz in the tool box so that get's used up first ;)

I probably do have some carb linkage stuff for you......when I get a little more time in a few weeks I'll start parting stuff out more for those who need anything?

Matt

Matt, I'd say get this one. It has a pic so you'll have more confidence that it's right. And like I said the one I got was all plastic this one looks more like the orginal. The difference is only $4.

Hope this link works...

Good 4 hours on the lv tonight, but doesn't look like much.

Got home and fired up the sandblaster. Blasted parts for over an hour, lots of little stuff. Got everything blasted, but the seat parts that Semlin sent me would not come apart. So, had to fire up the torch and heat up the pins and other hinged joints that wouldn't move. Got all the pins out and all the stuff moving again. Lubed everything up and then blasted it again. I am pretty amazed how nice those parts cleaned up for coming out of that lv in the woods.....:)

Hung everything up in the booth and shot a coat of epoxy primer on everything. There are going to be a lot of different colors sprayed, but I sprayed 2 parts black tonight. At least they will be dry tomorrow and then I can start in on beige and white and start clearing. I'm sure it will be a good day in painting tomorrow.

Also, ordered a 12" x 36" x 1/16" Burm-nitrate rubber in 50A durometer, that showed up today. When the paint is drying probably start cutting new gaskets for all the door handles and rear handle.

Ok Matt man....

If you ordered that aftermarket pump, and find that it will not work with the res that you have....that is because you have the 78-79 res...and the goofy pump....

I posted up the wrong part number earlier on this topic for the OEM pump...

I found today, while digging through some things, the res that will work with that aftermarket pump...

SO...

If you need the later res, let me know and I will get it sent off to you!
