Pretty good day on the lv today. Got out of work around 5 so I could get going on this. Temp wise it was awesome so I moved some of my parts outside so I could work in the sun
Blocked out the hood first, went fast. Had to drill the 2 holes in for the spray nozzles and then notch each side of the hole with a file. I had the OEM measurements from a 68-71 hood, decided to do my own thing. The nozzles are from an 80 series cruiser, looks pretty much the same as the nozzle on my 77 FJ40. The nozzle on my 40 is centered and 11 inches back from the hood edge. I went 10" back and 10" from the center..... I don't know why, just seemed right and looked like it will work, I'll let you know when I start spraying.
Blocked out my aprons with 220 also, then had to drill the holes in them for the emblems, all good.
Fenders, hit those with 80 grit and the DA again because of some deep scratches on the inner fender well. They look extremely good now.
Everything got hung up again and sprayed with 2 coats of epoxy primer. The hood and aprons are ready for paint. The fenders are going to have to be blocked out with 220 tomorrow, but that should be it for sanding fenders. I plan on shooting a coat of epoxy over the top after I block them out and then they are ready for paint.
I'm thinking I probably will start spraying that SEM tinted bedliner sauce on the bottom of the fenders Thursday night. I have about a half gallon left out of the 2 gallons I initially ordered, gallon and a half went on the bottom of the lv.
Thinking I should be spraying color on everything else by Friday, if everything goes right

I would love to start bolting the front clip back on Saturday or Sunday, probably start haning doors and tailgate stuff next weekend also.
