Engine # should be on vin plate. (What’s the engine build number?)

Haven’t heard from Mr Goodnight in many years. I bet my 65 short wheelbase removable top is out in that yard somewhere! 3b turbo, h55,4w disc brakes! Think I sold it 10 years ago. Glad to see the yard full, real good guy.
I will look for you!

Thanks guys, but I think those are frame numbers, not engine numbers (S/N‘s). My early ‘63 FJ45‘s original engine number is F175782 (from VIN tag so don’t know the build date on the block itself). The motor that’s in the rig is number F193342 with a build date of Feb. 1, 1964 from block stamp. So I know the existing motor is not original but roughly period correct. Just curiosity for my sake, but that’s a way to check motor originality.

@middlecalf 13529 is the 63 and 15784 is the 64.

Sorry. Thanks for the correction. In about an hour the numbers on the 1964 will match from an appropriate social distance

Rotunda caughed out this old thing pretty easily.

I’ve never removed a F135 without any places on the side of the head for hooks so I had to make some and drill them out to fit the OEM head bolts

The linkage is such a bitch to deal with on these 3 on the tree trucks. To date I’ve never had to pull one like this where I unbolted it. I usually just chop them

Even if we had done Plan A....or was it plan B and this is plan A.......

Anyway, this nasty engine compartment would have had to be addressed F135 or Mosley RoboCopF so either way I’m super happy it’s out and I can get busy making this operating space......Sterile

Knocking 41 years of dried grease off revealing a very nice axle housing. Got a few more hours getting this prepped so we can get some paint on her. Plan is get the housing dialed and build the next 3rd this weekend.

Easy for me, but I’m a bit confused. How many axles or differentials is this rig going to have?
