RIP to your best friend. I read about the accident on another local forum (boating forum), what a tragic loss for his family and the community at large. Lots of members there knew him in some way, but doesn't sound like any knew him like you did.A little bit of a not-so-much of an update on Morty. On January 6th, I lost a very good friend and coworker fighting a house fire in Palos Verdes. We worked together for 19 years, same shift, many years stationed together, cooked many meals, shared a million laughs, and ran countless calls together.
His passing put me into quite a tailspin. I’ve been working through PTSD, depression and anger issues. My wife and boys have been there supporting me and helping me find my feet once again and Landcrusher909 has been checking on me and getting me to want to re-engage with my project and draw me out of my dark place.
I just wanted to let you know the project is not dead in the water, it has been temporarily moored and with the help of Rob and my family I will be getting some much needed garage therapy and making some forward progress on the 40.
Stay safe my friends, life is short, friends are precious and everyday is a gift.
Sorry for your loss. Life is short, enjoy time with family and friends. We are here for you when you feel like starting back up. I know that in the past working on my cruisers has helped me with my mental well being quite a bit. Don't let your cruiser project stress you out, let it be your escape from stress. Though sometimes it may not feel like that.A little bit of a not-so-much of an update on Morty. On January 6th, I lost a very good friend and coworker fighting a house fire in Palos Verdes.
