Got in a pair of Red Line defrost adapters. Drops the size to 2” for the Old Air hoses.

I like it!! I need to rebuild my heater and blower and noticed about a 1/2" gap between the intake and the body of the truck where I presume a foam gasket used to live. I was thinking it would be great to print an insert for that spot that has one side shaped to accept a tube from my on-board compressor so that it pulled cool air rather than hot air from under the hood.

Anyone know of a part number or source for the fuel tank well grommet?

@ToyotaMatt sells them. It is a plug, not a grommet.

I read a thread that had an OEM part number #90950-01901 that could be used for this application. So that is what I have in mine.
After using an OEM plug, I opted for a VW 40mm Plug #1K0-899-185. It was $2 for a breathable plug, allowing moisture out but not in.

Should be able to make a new port into the cab on the firewall… not sure if your ‘80 FJ40 has the cabin air connection to the distributor or not but could copy that installation. Here’s a pic off MUD… the breather is circled in blue.

Replaced the timing plate gasket, timing cover gasket and seal (again). Plus a new radiator from CityRacer. Also painted the air cleaner. Dupli-color semi-gloss engine enamel sprays pretty nice for a rattle can.

Glued another character patch on my Paki soft top. It’s more patch than top these days. Gorilla glue and the patches sent with the top are the only things holding it together.
