You are using it for camping. Are you tent camping or planning on sleeping in it? Are you a minimalist? Do you care about speed or slow and steady. Is it for mostly offroad camping or more designated camping places like state parks? Long drives or short ones. Hard core with damage kind of places? How many people do you plan on carrying? Any animals? Are you mechanically inclined? What is your budget? Where do you live? How old are you?

We all live in different areas and have different needs. Maybe we should know what your intentions are before just wildly telling you what we would change.

Most of what @ceylonfj40nut said w/fj60 axles and a 10” stretch. Linked suspension?

I stretched my body 14” and the wheelbase to 109”. I wish that I had stretched the body to 18” with the same wheelbase while putting more angle on my rear coilovers to create more room inside for the rear passengers.
