I’m in the middle of hardtop repairs and my brain keeps wandering over to soft tops so I don’t rush the repairs (yeah right).

Moved it under a shed so that it's no longer living under cheap tarps. This way it will be easier to work on (haven't really touched it in a year), and more protected from the weather.

It is loud and a little flappy. Most of my driving is 40mph give or take and summer time configuration will be doors off windows up. Totally worth it for my purposes.

I was able to get this road worthy and 97% finished before I got frustrated enough to sell it

No doubt my best Landcruiser accomplishment, but more like my best moment was seeing the OG PO, my Dad Mar with his 40 I have been working on for the past few years. Here's to 2024. My wish is to see him behind the wheel. Happy New Year Mudders!

I think my bigest accomplishment on my 40 is getting to where it is now. I have only had it since November of last year and its come along way. lots of hard work for sure. Another cool accomplishment was using it as our wedding vehicle. I think my seats were my favorite thing I did though. and the dobinsons springs. I hav a-lot more to go this year but I will get it done and have fun doing it.

Can you tell I love it with the top off?

Hardtop repairs.... That had to be my least favorite project of 2023. It looked as if a tree had fallen on mine, then PO had done a most horrible fiberglass / epoxy repair (1"+ thickness buildup) on the damaged area. Took days of grinding away to get it down to a normal, repairable thickness. Luckily I had 60" wide fiberglass cloth left over from a canoe build that fit perfectly over the entire damaged area on mine - it really turned out well (except for me flubbing an area of the new headliner install...). Good luck, hope your repairs go smoothly!

Making it out to SAS #7 with power steeing, a rear locker and EFI was a huge milestone.

- i noted that the Early Siamese F water pump tubes have a different variety that has a stand alone HEX-LOCK-NUT & rubber O-ring ?
