Who is willing to try this brand out? Only have about 9k on my Maxxis else I'd give it a go. 35x10.5r15 MTRs. Their site lists it as a 35x10r15 but the part number says 10.5. Either way, interesting option. If no one has tried them out by the time my maxxis are done, I'll give them a go. So far I've seen one person from a Jeep forum buy and mount, but it went to a dead end.

If you want some real world experience, I am on my second set of Mud Hogs in 37x12.50r17 flavor. They are by far my favorite DOT tire for the PNW! It has gotten to the point where most of my friends are starting to run them too... In fact, we did a run to Rubicon this summer with four rigs. We drove the 650 miles of pavement to get there, wheeled all week, and drove home. All of us were running Mud Hogs.

After chatting with a buddy in the wheel industry - I’m hearing the same! Now I just need to order a set! Curious how they fit once mounted!

Black Friday deal got me a set of OEM toyota wheels for my '71 @$115 each, no tax & free shipping. So I went to order these 35.x10.5 mud hogs, and they're out of stock. Son of a B. 35x10.5 is really the only tire I can run visually with my SOA conversion, so it's either wait for these to come in on a boat, or go super swamper. I think imma wait.

Here’s the first pictures and actual measurements I’ve seen on the 255/85r17 trail boss a/ts mounted up.

From the link:
“The website says they weigh in at 64 lbs and I can confirm that is the case, and when not on the vehicle they measure around 34.5" in diameter but once installed it is more like 34" of true diameter, even at 46 psi in the tires”

Please tell me I can fit these on Rock Warrior 17" Rims in an LX470, I need that confirmation to drop 2k HAHA!

Yeah, they fit.
You could also consider the 35x10.5r17 Kenda Klever RT.

Thanks! good to see the LX570 is capable of running that size, one of those LX570s is in my future.

It does look like a tight looking fit on the LX570 I can't imagine the LX470 fitting these, but will keep doing research. I found a member who claims to be running these pizza cutters but have yet to find a picture.
This is on 35mm offset. I'm running about 1/2" of fixed front sensor lift to make room in 'N' mode. Imagine another 2 1/2" of vertical space for 'H' mode. These are 34.76" book. I'm still more than an inch out from the body mount with these skinnies :)
I did get a small amount of rub at the top of the front tire (wheel liner) under hard compressions with the taller 275/80r18s (35.3" book) (little scuffs over 2+ years).

I see now that your Q was Lx470 based - sorry about that!

These will be going on the Tundra

I predict your tundra will like them. Interested in what pressure you end up at. I got a used one for a spare 9/32nd left and it was obviously run at too high pressure based on the tread wear. Book pressure for this tire on my rig is 32. I started at 40, currently at 37. Warm pressure from 37 is 41 (10%) which is perfect.
Im going to try 34 and see if that also tops out at 37 or 38, or if it gets hotter (which would show as more psi) and be too hot.
I have some trouble believing that 32 is correct based on 37 being 10%.

Kenda calls them 34.76" tall, I'll put a tape on them once they're mounted on the Rock Warrior wheels. I'm waiting on new shocks, shackles and bushings to show up.

How tall do the mounted Kenda measure out?
Mine are around 34”. Looks like they took the bfg method of tire sizing.
37 psi on LX570.
They also seem wider than rated. Not the tread block, but the squish/sidewall.
Ride is very good and brand new they are quiet, that won’t last forever though.

Any updates on the Kanati 35x10.5x15 mud hogs? Anyone running them on a 40 or 60?

I haven't any experience on that particular size, but a buddy has 'em in a 39. Loves 'em. He went so far as to buy a spare or two in case the supply chain dried up.

Assuming that you're pointing out that these aren't made in the States? And? If you limit the market to tires made in the US, unfortunately, the options get pretty thin in a hurry. And some get pricey for tires whose performance just doesn't cut the mustard, comparatively.

As I said, just FYI for those who care about buying US made products when options are available. If I'm looking at a US made product and a non-US made product that are similar in performance and features I will always buy the US made one.....even if it costs more money (within reason of course). Especially with something where a lack of quality could cause a crash when made by someone 7,000 miles away earning $0.25/hr. Of course I would be comfortable with Made in Japan for safety related items as well.
