I’m adding an aftermarket sub to my LX and just started thinking…man, it sure would be nice if that space where the Levinson sub (you know, the one that does nothing) could be repurposed into useful real estate. @BenCC have you thought of printing a flip up/down cover for the grill/cup holder I just removed?

I tried. But that piece is too big.

I'm in the same boat - wanting some use of this space when I lose the OEM sub. Let me know if you figure something out, I'll do likewise.

Planned to replace 2nd and 3rd row roof lights with packaged LED units.
The pics show the prototype for the 2nd row. It can take four Baja Designs Rock Light. Is it too much? The four LED units cost about $240.

Why don’t I just use LED panels?
1 Batches differ in dimensions slightly.
2 LED panels don’t have heat sink.
3 The availability is limited these days. They are always out of stock.

I love the idea of replacement lights for the back two rows, but $240 for those LEDs would put it out of my price range. I'm guessing those lights are really bright for that price.

Have you consider a version with just two lights and then some other switches or accessories? Or maybe one that has a front lip to flag the direct light from the windshield so that the driver isn't blinded by reflections while driving at night?

Yes one or two LED pods with switches would be more realistic.

The LED pods are facing a little bit towards the back of the truck. There is no direct light to the driver.

Tested the three-switch mount. The rectangular hole is a few millimeters short for three switches. Too bad it cannot be fully recessed.
This is one of the configurations. Planned to have
1. 1V2H (V: Vertical, H: Horozonral)
2. 3V
3. 2V (recessed)
Let me know what you think.
Definitlry will be interested in the 2V (recessed) & the solution for the relocated mirror switch.
