What is your plan for conjoining the 2 halves?

The mod is listed in the stickys. Some go the full route with sheet metal plates and some don't. I may be of the "don't" crowd. Will see how it seats once I get it there.

You really don't need to do anything else, just bolt the two halves to the radiator and it hols them in position.
For awhile I can used some edge trimming around the edges but it just falls off.

Yeah, that is why I'm more in the "don't" group. I've filed the edges and primed and painted it so far in the garage. But the damn rain won't quit so I keep getting pushed off from getting more done outside on the truck... have all the bolts and nuts for the FC, rad fan and shroud soaking in PB.

Since I put my Bilsteins on all fours. I was looking for a better steering stabilizer. So I installed the King 2.0 steering stabilizer with the 10" travel , #pr2010-stnr . I had a worn out ome stabilizer and this helped.

"repaired" my bent bumper with the help of a tow strap and a sturdy pine tree. 30 second job, got it pretty straight, fixed the damage that the insurance adjuster deemed worthy of a total loss. :hillbilly:

:edit: Oops, posted in the wrong forum! I still claim victory

Busy weekend for me so far... got the new exhaust partially installed, ran into an issue with the turn to get between the leaf spring and the body but not hit the tire. So going to have to go back to the BILs another time to finish that part up.

Then once that was done today got around to removing the old, nasty purple drivers side tinting that was flaking at the edges and faded/scuffed badly enough to make it hard to see out. No pics of that though..

No photos yet, but installed the repainted passenger side fender on my '86 FJ60 project. I was able to do a decent job using aerosol cans from AutomotiveTouchup.com. My first time painting anything of consequence, so surprised myself. Now I'll have to go over the rest of the body with 2000 grit wet sandpaper, followed by Meguiars rubbing compound and buffing, to see if I can bring back some of the deeper blue color.

I also trial installed my old Pioneer AM/FM cassette player, new Pioneer amp, and new front door speakers (also Pioneer). I haven't yet got far enough back in the vehicle to install the rear MB Quart speakers. Got everything to work after chasing down power problems (blown 7.5A dome fuse). Wrapped up the day listening to the first two tracks from Led Zeppelin I - what could be finer :).

Drove my truck 2+ hours to the Sacramento area to search for new seats. There are several BMW dismantlers in the Rancho Cordova area and I'm tired of being jealous of all you guys that are rocking beemer seats.

At the third wrecking yard I visited I scored these babies for ridiculous low money!

Manual seats from a 2004 3 series. They are pictured here after I spent a solid 2 hours scrubbing them up. Now I just gotta figure out how to mount them in my '84.

Ordered fittings to convert my power steering high pressure line to A/N to fix this:

Running with no belt for the meantime.

No pictures (will come later) as I was to tired and to dirty.

Replaced my front suspension, new shocks, new springs, ubolts. Had to clean the greaseable shackles.
Hint, do not us lithium grease then use auto grease in these. It clogs them up. Use quality grease.
Took over an hour to clean all 6 pins.

What was to be a 3 hour job was closer to 8 to get the 20 yo suspension off and the new fancy one on.
this week i will tackle the rear.

Got the front wheel fender skirt cut out of EPDM 70 rubber and installed. Also flushed the coolant system. I used Prestone radiator flush from Wal-mart. $2.66 at Wal-Mart and $10.49 at O'rielly auto parts. Enough for me to buy a new 18 inch windshield wiper blade from a 1994 4 Runner for my Cruiser !!!!!!! Slowly getting ready for winter. Used a new hole punch set from Habor Freight to make the holes for retainer.

Where did you get the rubber? I'd love to do that

Yeah saw that but looks like they're only offering late model brackets so far. Our early trucks need some seat bracket love from one of our cruiser vendors. Come on guys!
