2001 Land Cruiser 121k miles not loved - worth a gamble on purchase?
This 2001 LC has low miles at 121k, but PO before current owner really banged it up. Asking price is $8500 and I don't think they'll budge on price. Wondering if it's worth taking to mechanic and purchasing if it checks out? Test drove last week..brakes shudder when applied...so probably need attention. Serp belt looks relatively new. Engine cover has a crack (how does that happen?!). Current owners have put ~20k on in last 18 months..mostly highway miles. Needs a good cleaning. Seats in decent shape..tear on seam in passenger front seatIf it's mainly cosmetic issues, wondering how much I'd be out replacing: front and rear bumpers and lower rear tailgate. Or too much hassle to match paint and repair? Maybe spend 2x to get one in better...

Here comes the wish list, so I won't be surprised if there's nothing exact available. I'm looking for: 2006-2007 Land Cruiser/LX470 No-AHC Gray/Black/Silver Exterior Gray/White Interior (basically not the beige/tan) Under 200k miles Hoping to keep under $25k, ideally closer to $20k and somewhat near Nashville, but willing to drive or even take a short flight for the right rig. I would also consider 2005 and AHC as long as it the AHC is in really good working condition and the replacement to standard suspension would be years off. Reading through the posts about AHC reminds me simpler tends to be better for longevity. I realize this is my first post, but don't let that scare you away, I have to join the LC/LX clan somehow! Thanks!
Hey All, Curious if any Texas members have seen this rig in person. Looks good, Carfax is all Texas. My Lexus service history shows a gap between 2012 and now. Last reported service was actually a tow to the selling dealership. Curious as I am researching southern LX as a possible replacement for my 2005. Transport to Minnesota, plus our terrible sales tax, probably set me back $2K. But if this is a solid rig, no rust, might be a good long term plan. Likely this rig is due for it's 2nd TB/WP, not shown on the CarFax. 2006 Lexus LX 470 - Houston, TX - Sterling McCall Lexus - 64017395

SOLD Near Memphis TN 1999 LX 470 130,000 miles
SOLD I am listing this for a family member who is not on Mud. It is a 1999 Lx 470 with 130,000 miles. He purchased about 2 years ago from a dealer in Dallas TX. This was a one owner vehicle and it had 105,000 miles when he bought it. He had a Carfax on it with the maintenance history and it showed no accidents. He was able to track down the owner and spoke with him a couple of times after the purchase. The LX spent time between Arizona and Texas as the owner had houses in both. He would leave it at one of the other and drive it while in town. The owner confirmed that it was accident free and maintenance performed according to the manuel. This was a second for my uncle vehicle that he would use from time to time, he...
